Disable Ligatures in \type

Hi all, When I use \type{} or \starttyping, I get unwanted ligatures in ConTeXt MkIV output (e.g. “–” for “--” and the ff/fl/fi ligatures). Please see the attached for a minimal example. Things work as expected with the default fonts, but break when \definefontfamily is used, even for Latin Modern Mono. Have I missed some documentation, or is there a bug? Thanks, Gareth

unwanted page at end

Using the latest beta, the workaround from the wiki, \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided] \setupsectionblock[frontpart][page=no] \setupsectionblock[bodypart][page=no] \setupsectionblock[appendix][page=no] \setupsectionblock[backpart][page=no] \starttext \startbodymatter% or backmatter etc. After this page, there is another empty one. \stopbodymatter \stoptext fails to prevent a blank page at the end. Is there a new way to do this now? I used to rely on \installpagebreakhandler{last}{}, but this does not seem to work either: it now permits a final page with a page number. Alan

Thank you Hans for the pointer to \goto. Unfortunately, javascript is not suitable for my purpose because the PDF will be converted to PDF/A2. I want to switch on and off OCGs but with Set-OCG-State actions. Even if this is beyond the capabilities of ConTeXt, it is nice to know that there is a javascript-based solution. Christoph

Adjusting topspace for letterhead in layer construct

mtx-context | current version: 2014.10.18 14:30 I only want about 3 to 5 mm between the physical top of the page and the top of the letterhead (in this example, a company's and contact information). In \setlayer I set y=3mm The pdf view of the output looks good, but an actual printout (and a look at a print preview with a pdf viewer) of the generated pdf file puts the top of the letterhead about 17 mm down from the top edge. This is too much. I tried adjusting topspace and topdistance to 0 didn't seem to have any affect. For anybody interested in this: I have decided to resort to \hyphenatedurl{...}. This means that I have to escape \ as \\, # as \# and % as \letterpercent. Let me know if you have a better solution. I am using: mtx-context | current version: 2014.10.18 14:30 I am typesetting a simple letterhead for correspondence. The design calls for only about a 3 to 5 mm distance between the physical top of the page and the top of the typeset letterhead. typeface replacement (font fallback)

Dear list, I have a ConTeXt document that I need to compile in different Windows computers. Some computers are provided with the Gill Sans MT typeface. The rest are provided with the GillSans typeface. Only one source document should exist (it’s actually a template that merges data). The font family substitution could be written as a fallback mechanism: \definefallbackfamily [mainface] [serif] [GillSans] \definefontfamily [mainface] [serif] [Gill Sans MT] Of course I could set range to something like: {basiclatin, latinextendeda, latinextendedadditional, latinextendedb, latinextendedc, latinextendedd, latinsupplement, letterlikesymbols} Is there a more elegant way of doing this? enumeration with the Spanish alphabet

Hans, enumerating using the Spanish alphabet lacks a letter between n and o, the ñ. Here is the small sample that shows the missing letter: \mainlanguage[es] \starttext \startitemize[a] \dorecurse{30}{\item \recurselevel} \stopitemize \stoptext Instead of changing the default letter series, how about adding the ñ (or Ñ) after n and before o (or after N and before O) in a new enumeration series named ñ (and Ñ). This is the correct way to enumerate with letters in Spanish (and this is used in legislation, such as in https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?id=BOE-A-1992-28741#a49) Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk
