Hi Hans, sorry for telling again, but I’m afraid that the following sample shows a serious buggy interaction between \setupdirections[bidi=on] and \about references. \setupdirections[bidi=on] \starttext \section[sectionone]{Section one} As said in \dorecurse{5} {\about[sectionone]\footnote{Body reference misplaced.}, } \stoptext Both \about and footnote references in body are misplaced. authors in the toc

Dear all, as I’m working on a book that is a collection of essays by various authors, I need their names in the toc. I’m using mkiv and the command start chapter, in the first argument specifying the author param. I’ve explored the wiki (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Table_of_Contents) but I don’t get it. Can anyone provide some hints? Define a new command from the command \periods[n]

Hello, I tried to use some steps in a presentation. In the following conversation http://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context@ntg.nl/msg53524.html, Wolfgang says that we can use the pre-60 module. \preventmode does not work

At least in MKIV. I haven't tried MKII. The following example should demonstrate this. With no mode specified on the command line, this should enable mode three and prevent and disable the other modes. It seems that \preventmode is not only ineffective in what it is described as doing, but also disables the following \disablemode! Or perhaps I am misusing this or misunderstand what it should do. clipping in metafun has weird side effects

Dear all, I stumbled upon some very weird behaviour of clipping in metafun/context. When I add some clipped pictures to currentpicture and draw something dashed, some subsequent lines will also be drawn dashed. This behaviour only shows up with context but not with mptopdf or mpost. I attached a minimal example and the corresponding output of context and mptopdf. I tried context versions 2014.05.21 22:04 and 2014.10.29 17:47, but the result is the same in both. Tobias --

\placetable whitespace problem in columnset

I have a document using columnsets to place tables near an entry in a long list of sorts. The problem is that wherever I issue a \placetable \placefigure etc command, I get unwanted extra whitespace between entries where the command is issued. I have tried changing the parameters in \setupfloats, but haven't found a setting that works. I'm using the context version distributed with the latest texlive.
