Strange problem related to \usemodule

Hi, I have access to three machines both running GNU/Linux x86-64, I call them "Laptop", "Desktop" and "Remote" respectively here on. The "Laptop" has full access to the internet, so I always install and upgrade my ConTeXt Standalone on it when I'm home. At workplace, I can surfer the internet with the "Desktop" while the RSYNC port is blocked. I only can access the "Remote" through ssh from the "Desktop" without root privilege and can not access the internet. So, I always copied the ConTeXt standalone from my "Laptop" onto my "Desktop", and from my "Desktop" onto "Remote" if necessary. Then, I'll delete the cache before I set the PATH to the appropriate location and run context --make and mtxrun --generate. So the ConTeXt standalones are almost identical on both my "Desktop" and "Remote". And the following minimal example just works fine on my "Desktop" but failed on the "Remote", =========== Minimal Example ============================ \usemodule[vim] \definevimtyping[RUBY][syntax=ruby] \starttext \startRUBY puts "Hello" \stopRUBY \stoptext ========================================================= Actually, on "Remote", whatever module I use, it will prompt the Undefined Control Sequence error regarding the first command I used from that module with the module loaded correctly. Attached is the error log accompany the above minimal example. So, what can be the problem with my "Remote". TIA. for any help.

Possible bug with \date in french

Hi, Since a recent upgrade of the beta the \date command give "day+ octobre 2011" if \mainlanguage[fr] is set. Minimal example: \mainlanguage[fr] \starttext \date \language[en] (\date) \stoptext A rapid search lead me to these lines (560-571) in "lang-def.mkiv": \installlanguage [\s!fr] [\c!spacing=\v!packed, (...) \c!date={\v!day+,\v!space,\v!month,\v!space,\v!year}] where the "day+" appears. Several lines further (line 670), one found: \defineconversion [\s!fr] [\v!day+] [\frordinaldaynumber] but I have not find any file defining "\frordinaldaynumber" (except "lang- ita.mkii" for MKII). doublesided layout with floating text blocks wrapped in the main text

Hi, how can I insert text blocks of texts of half the width of the text zone (+ gutter) tand make the main text flow wrap around them? I'd like the blocks to be aligned on the outer side of the page (the document is doublesided). My guess was to use floats but I don't need captions. Any (other) ConTeXt users in Finland?

Hello All! Inspired by the recent ConTeXt meeting where I again enjoyed meeting other users as well as the developers, I'm wondering if there are any other ConTeXt users in Finland? And if so, would you be interested in a mini-meeting for an afternoon or evening, possibly at my work in Vantaa? If nothing else, we could tell each other what we do with ConTeXt and get ideas and with luck even be able to sort out some problems. I'm far from the nerdiest person in the world, but I could probably manage a short "introduction to ConTeXt", if you are interested but haven't gotten started or if you know people who'd like to try but don't want to do it by themselves. BTW, if any ConTeXt users (Finnish or others) pass by Helsinki airport or the Greater Helsinki area, you are welcome to informally pop into our office and I'll give you coffee/tea and cookies (if we have any) and any ConTeXt help I can give. Just check on this in advance as I'm not always there, but often can arrange things if notified a few days earlier. Hi, I there a command to "jump" to a specific pdf page? Like \goto,\at, \in, \about ... only, in this case a page number should be given! Any ideas? Thanks, Steffen

It seems that if I copied all of the module files under the current directory, it works perfectly. And of course mtxrun --locate t-vim.tex gives the correct location just as indicated by my previously attached log file. And there's only one environment variable corresponding to TeX settings: $ env |grep -i TEX PATH=/ifs2/S2PH/qiuhw/opt/context-1008/tex/texmf-linux-64/bin:.... (It's very long) Actually not only the modules under tex/texmf-modules not work on the "Remote", but also modules under tex/texmf-local don't work either. metapost not adding picture

I have this question on the implementation of metapost. The following program ends in an error: \startMPpage picture v; draw origin--(1cm,1cm); v = currentpicture; clearit; draw (1cm,0)--(0,1cm); currentpicture := currentpicture + v; \stopMPpage The error is: ! Not implemented: (picture)+(picture). Yet Knuth's metafont book in Chapter 13 tells me, quote: "Pictures can be added or subtracted;" Is the current metafont implementation lacking this feature? New STIX font version

Hi all, you might be interested in hearing that there is a new there is a new version of the STIX fonts (since 1h ago) - or rather a beta version: 1.1.0-beta1. See: http://sourceforge.net/projects/stixfonts/files/STIXv1.1.0-beta1.zip/downlo… "The beta period will remain open until December 1, 2011." - Thus, one has still 5 months time to comment on the bugs. (Or are that two moths? With STIX ETA one never knows ...) As reminder: STIX fonts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STIX_Fonts_project) are a large collection of Times-like math fonts, created by several publishing houses in a rather slow process. A year ago, 1.0 was relased and now with 1.1b1 is finally released. Seemingly, one can now use it directly such that one does not need the XITS fonts anymore. (Cf. http://typophile.com/node/71171) From the release notes: "What is new in this release? The original Version 1.0 STIX was packaged as 29 distinct font files. Version 1.1.0-‐beta1 provides the same set of glyphs packaged as a set of 4 text fonts and 1 symbol font. This new packaging will facilitate the use of the font on more desktop applications, and will specifically allow the symbol font to be used in recent versions of the Microsoft Word Equation Editor." "In addition, an update was made to address compatibility issues between the font set and the Windows PostScript driver."
