Hi, During my work on bachelor thesis I was running throught source codes and I would like to ask about equivalent of file syst-gen.mkii in MkIV. And if there isn't one. Where I can found definitions of macros define in this file (like \dosingleargument and so on). Also I have another question. In file page-lay.mkii there is definition: \def\addpagecutmarks % #1 {\executeifdefined{\??ly:n:\c!marking:\@@lymarking}\gobbleoneargument} I don't understand this part: {\??ly:n:\c!marking:\@@lymarking}, especially I don't know what ":n:" does or means. Unicode bibliography

I'm using JabRef to generate a .bib file in utf8. I'd like to use this with Context to typeset a bibliography. I'm running into a lot of problems with Bibtex's Unicode incompatibility. What is currently the best way to do this? Googling, I came across this tantalizing suggestion from Idris (in 2008): "Can you port your database to bbl format -- \start-stoppublication -- and just use the bib module without bibtex?" That sounds good, but how can I do it?

Strings [[...]] inside \startluacode \stopluacode

Hello. I am experimenting with courious things in LuaTeX (combining TeX and Lua codes) and I have a problem with lua strings containing TeX definitions. When string (containing definition of TeX macro with \directlua call-in) is creating in the separate lua file (reading by command dofile) then script does work OK, but when string is inside \startluacode \stopluacode environment, then does work only when i use text string inside ' ' for example: luastring='\\def\\texmacro\#1\{\\directlua\{luafunction(\#1)\}\}' Script does not work when i use text inside [[ ... ]]! (message undefined control sequence) for example: luastring=[[ \def\texmacro#1{ \directlua{luafunction(#1)} } ]] Where is a problem? a0 split into a4?

Hi, Is it possible to "split" a0 paper into a4? I want to write context document in a0 size but printing into 16 a4. Is it possible. If it's, surely it's with ConTeXt! ;-) Xan.

float at fixed position

Hi, in a multi column layout I want to place a figure at a fixed position. Inserting a floating object at a fixed position doesn't make any sense, but I need the correct caption (number) for the graphic. Sadly \placefigure fails with [..] todo : flush notes todo : enable notes ! Installation on Windows fails with "unknown script 'texexec.lua' or 'mtx-texexec.lua'"

Hi, I followed the installation instructions for Windows on "ConTeXt Minimals", http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Minimals. Since I have MiKTeX installed, I used the command line method, as suggested. However, when I try to run context according to the "Usage" section, I get the following error message: MTXrun | unknown script 'texexec.lua' or 'mtx-texexec.lua' Any suggestions on what have gone wrong? Hello, Is there a way to sort the content of \startlines envinroment by the alphabet?
