help with math in context

Hi all , I'm not a context math user at all, so I know practically nothing, and I'm starting some jobs that require a little of math. So I really appreciate any links (wiki, url, file) about math (but also mathml, etc) in context (I already start my search from http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Math of course) . TIA -- luigi

Fonts disappeared after updating ConTeXt

Hello, I just updated ConTeXt to the latest version (2009.11.13 12:45), and now all the fonts I have installed on my system seem to have mysteriously disappeared from ConTeXt's sight. Running "mtxrun --script fonts --list" displays only the fonts that are installed in the ConTeXt directory. I'm using Linux and fontconfig finds all the fonts just fine. Until now, I haven't had any problems using the fonts on my system after an update without any further actions. I did, however, run luatools --selfupdate mtxrun --selfupdate luatools --generate context --make just to make sure that everything is up-to-date but that didn't make any difference. Have any font-related changes been made to ConTeXt in the past few weeks (the previous version that I used was from maybe a month ago) or what could be the cause of this? Mika

Hi Wolfgang, I just saw interesting commands: > \usemodule[simplefonts] > > \setmainfont[TeX Gyre Heros][weight=condensed] > Searching for wiki, I found the line "For instance, assuming the Delicious fonts <http://www.josbuivenga.demon.nl/delicious.html> are properly installed and recognized by ConTeXt, you can simply write....". What do you mean by "properly installed and recognized"? Can I just say \setmainfont[Times New Roman] and get Window's standard Times New Roman working? Regards, Vyatcheslav

latest beta: trouble with font loading

Hi Hans, all, the two latest betas have trouble loading fonts from my own typescripts. All errors point to the same line in font-syn.lua. I don't have a minimal example yet, but here's a minimal command line that triggers the error on my box: mtxrun --script fonts --list --pattern="*gentium*" ...text/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/font-syn.lua:706: bad argument #1 to 'next' (table expected, got nil) Any pointers? mtx-texworks.lua can't find TeXworks on linux

Running it gives: $ mtxrun -script texworks -start MTXrun | unable to locate TeXworks Though I've texworks on my path: $ which texworks /usr/bin/texworks I found that the file.split_path(os.getenv("PATH")) call returns a table with single member containing the full PATH variable (it assumes it is a semicolon separated list, but on linux it is a colon separated list). Even after getting around this, the executable name it is looking for is 'TeXworks' while it should be 'texworks'. How to load a lua file into a named lua instance

Hi all, I have a module with lots of lua code, and I'd like to move most of the lua code to a separate file, say t-module.lua. I have written all of the lua code using \modulecode and \startmodulecode ... \stopmodulecode. But, when I move the lua code to t-module.lua and load it with dofile, it seems to load in the global instance instead of the third party module instance. Is there any method to load an external lua file in a named instance? Thanks, Kevin

Sort register (index) by Bible book

Hi All, I'm typesetting a book that has a register of Bible verses. I like to order them by Bible book as per the order the books are customarily listed. The index is created like \index{1 Samuel 1:1} and retrieved with \placeindex, so that's all standard. Are there any tools to sort this index? How can I make this part of the regular "build"? Or is this something you do once, at the end, by hand? -- Thanks for any pointers, Berend de Boer

\completelistofacronyms does not typeset meaning, only repeats the acronym itself

In the latest beta from minimals, \completelistofacronyms does not typeset the meaning of the acronym, but just repeats the acronym. I've attached a minimal example that shows the problem. Kevin

Indent missed after \placefigure[inner]

Hello, I've asked about this issue already, but maybe my cry for help was missed ) After I include a grapichs with \placefigure[inner], the next paragraph is not indented. This looks very strange, because the figure floats at a side, and nothing suggests that new paragraph begins. I'm forced to issue \hskip0.7cm to imitate the indent. With \placefigure[middle], everything is OK because I use some magic setup kindly suggested by Wolfgang: \setupfloat[figure][indentnext=yes] Maybe I should expand this setup with other keywords? Pleaase, see attached image for illustration.
