getbuffer now fails

I had this code working (it was in an article I submitted for NTG-MAPS a while ago, july 2007). Now this same code gives an error on getbuffer. What happened to getbuffer? Is it possible a \fi has disappeared in the getbuffer code between now and last july? Is there a quick patch because now I get stuck on work that has to be finished. The error message from TeX: ! ConTeXt Float Positioning (Figures and Tables) After Paragraph

Dear ConTeXt Collegaues, Float Positioning (Figures and Tables): Explained at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Floating_Objects place[here] will preferably place the float "here" (usually the ConTeXt code for the figure/table is placed at the end of a paragraph which refers to this figure/table). However, if it does not fit onto the page, it will be moved to the top of the next page. This is not always wonderful, as it splits paragraphs into two parts (the paragraph starts on page n-1, then the float is placed on top of page n, and the same paragraph continues on page n, after the float). This is very annoying to read, as you expect the paragraph text to continue when you turn, or in the digital, pdf-world, move to the next page. Is there any possibility to automatically place floats after/before a paragraph without splitting a paragraph into two parts? Instead of moving the float to the top of page n, ConTeXt should first try to place it on the top of the paragraph which refers to it, if the float still does not fit, ConTeXt should try to place it after the next paragraph, but not in the middle of a paragraph. We have been using ConTeXt on an experimental workflow to produce scientific journal articles. A sample PDF produced with ConTeXt can be found at the http://www.mdpi.org/marinedrugs/papers/md6010025.pdf link. Please note the figure/table placement. These floats have been placed manually. On compiling latest luatex

ctangle is needed to compile latest luatex . It's not a problem, but justtex.zip and linuxtex.zip from pragma don't have ctangle (maybe in minimals ?) , so they are a bit incomplete. -- luigi it's new . it's powerful . it's luatex . http://www.luatex.org

Hi, I got a series of files, which are organized in a project-structure. externalfigure sizing problem

Hello, I've noticed that the images included with externalfigure appear at about 95% of their specified size on a printed page. The example below can be compiled on contextgarden to replicate the behavior. This problem is nothing new and has existed for at least a couple of months. Is there something that I'm not specifying correctly, or it this a bug? Some BibTeX questions

Hi! A couple of questions regarding BibTeX and ConTeXt. :-) 1) For various reasons I want to make my own .bbl file. Do I understand correctly that I therefore don't need to use \setupbibtex in my document? I wouldn't see the point in linking to my original .bib file if I don't want the system to generate the .bbl in the first place. However, is this the command which generates the .aux file? What purpose does this one have? 2) In an automatically generated .bbl file, the \setuppublicationlist command seems to have as a value for the samplesize parameter the very first s-key of the list, .i.e that of the first publication in the database. These labels are clearly generated from the first three characters of the first Author data, and the last two character of the Year data. For example, in my database, the author being Achinstein and the year being 1975 for the first entry, the generated s-key is Ach75. This is the value \setuppublicationlist[samplesize] as well. What is the purpose of 'samplesize' exactly? And what is the use of the s-key in the first place? Is it mandatory? The answer to this is unclear to me. Hic et nunc, I wouldn't even know where to use them; not in the way I cite references in my document. I would use a and y exclusively. 3) All the a-keys with author lastnames in my generated bbl file contain the names in brackets {}, excluding the normal delimiting brackets of the key itself. For example, for my first publication, you read a={{Achinstein}}. With more than one authors, I have for example a={{Bromberger},{Halle}}. However, in Taco's documentation (bibmod-doc), there are no such brackets in the sample entry: a=Hoekwater. Are the brackets absolutely necessary? With more than one name, perhaps? Hi Hans, Looks like I'm the only one using resource libs. I have tried to solve the problem with figure inclusion, but my lua is still too bad (coroutines). You use rlx for the <library> element, and a joker for <subelements>. The example in x-res-04.tex should be updated then (uses rl for all).
