Hi, I was following the advice on the wiki before running "ctxtools --update" to update cont-win.zip but the link on the site doesn't work: when clicking on download (http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/current/cont-win.zip) it reports an error 404 object not found. BTW is this the 'canonical' way to do updates? I want to update my context installation (stand-alone CONTEXTediting environment (windows) dated 2007/08/08). Ulrich

t-tikz: problem with colorspace pgfprgb

Hi, I have the following problem with TikZ: When I use the "patterns" library in a tikzpicture environment, the file is compiled without problems and creates a PDF file. However, Acrobat displays an error message "Could not find the ColorSpace named 'pgfprgb'". So the patterns library seems to be a sufficient condition for this problem to occur. By contrast, the problem does not occur when I use pdflatex to create PDF from a LaTeX file with the same tikz-code. I have a standalone ConTeXt distribution and tikz 2.00, but I already had this problem with tikz 1.18. Any suggestions? Thanks, Finn Martensen

lua problem with Windows Vista

Hi, after acquiring a Thinkpad X61 I have takon on the ordeal of learning to use Windows Vista. I have turned off User Account Control and installed cygwin. In order to install context I tried several ways without success: the ContextMinimalInstaller.exe failed by silently not downloading any files the minimals installer failed with rsync complaining when it was unable to create several directories. first-setup.bat ran without error if I manually created those directories but turned out not to have populated the file system when done In the end I unzipped justtex.zip and mswintex.zip and manually updated relevant parts of that tree with rsync from rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals MkII seems to work after this but when I run luatools --generate luatools --ini --compile --verbose cont-en I get the output below which looks like a lua error. luatex version is snapshot-0.22.0-2008021623. I do not know enough about lua to track this error down. I am hoping someone knows what to do. Perhaps there is even someone who can tell me an easier way to install context on vista. Hi, just wondering. What is the meaning of the separating strings (\13\ ...) between elements? First I thought they were introduced by table.serialize. ConTeXt with XeTeX (beginner question)

Hello, I am using MikTeX 2.7 with XeTeX 0.997 and ConTeXt version 2008.01.28 21:28. Working off of this wiki page, http://wiki.contextgarden.net/XeTeX I am trying to load system fonts in a ConTeXt document. When I run the file (below), I get an error (further below). One thing I suspect may be part of the problem is cont-en.fmt. In the MikTeX bin directory, I run texexec --make --xtx en This creates cont-en.fmt in the bin directory, but I don't know that that's where ConTeXt expects it to be. Searching the rest of the MikTeX directory structure, I can't find another file with that name. "texexec --module" stops with "\wait="

Hello, How must \savebuffer be used? Dear friends, The BachoTeX 2008 Program Committee dares to remind you of the quickly upcoming deadline for submitting paper proposals for the BachoTeX 2008 conference. The Call for Papers and TeX Pearls can be found http://www.gust.org.pl/BachoTeX/2008/cfp1en. We trust that the main theme of the conference, ,,TeX contra TeX'' should be of a great interest to the community at large and the various developers in particular.
