About the indent after a displayed formula

Dear all, I found that if a paragraph is ended by a displayed formula, the first line of the next paragraph will not indent. It is a feature or bug? And how do I enable this indent? Placing meaningful footnotes

Hi everybody, Right now I'm writing an article and in the title's block I wanna thank somebody and in the authors' block I wanna display the email addresses. And I want them done with footnotes with "set 2" conversion. When I use =========================================== \definenote[thanks][conversion=set 2] \definenote[email] [conversion=set 2, textstyle=type] =========================================== The footnotes are shown with two areas, one for the \thanks and another for the \email, and they all started with "*" symbol, I mean there're two footnotes noted by star-symbol. texexec completion script for zsh

Hi, I just put together a simple completion script for texexec in zsh. Zsh can do some fancy completions with tab. I have written a completion script that gives some command line switches of texexec as part of tab completion in zsh. MkIV on Ubuntu

Hi, I am trying to install mkiv on ubuntu. I installed luatex from Norbert Preinin's Debian sources and used ctxtools --update to get the latest version of ConTeXt. In order to get luatools --generate to work, I needed to TEXMFCACHE and SELFAUTOPARENT environmental variables. After that, format creation seemed to work. ctxtools --contextversion gives CtxTools | context version: 2007.12.11 22:14 (/usr/local/share/texmf/tex/context/base/context.tex) CtxTools | context version: 2007.12.11 22:14 (/usr/local/share/texmf/tex/context/base/cont-new.tex) luatools lmr10.afm gives /usr/share/texmf/fonts/afm/public/lm/lmr10.afm (which is ok, expcept that there is an extra new line). However, mtxrun --script fonts --list --pattern=pagella gives MtxRun | unknown script: fonts When I try to compile a simple \starttext hello world \stoptext document with luatex, I get. defining a command

Hello, I have this definition: \def\oneplot#1#2#3% {\placefigure [here][#3] {\bfc #2} {\hfil \scale[width=10.5cm]{#1} \hfil} } (It is modified from an example on the wiki that takes only the first two arguments). I use it like this: \oneplot % image % caption % reference {\externalfigure[Fluorita_green]} {Fluorite cleavage} {cleavage} but the reference is ignored and I get ?? in the compiled document. Text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text 26.\,Ergänzungslieferung% this does NOT brake after 26. \stoptext I need a thinspace that prevents line-break between "26." and "Ergänzungslieferung". On the other hand this thinspace shouldn't kill my hyphenation points (i.e. the word should stay breakable)! Any idea? Thanks, Steffen

Hyphenation with apostrophes

Hi, I'm writing a text in catalan language. Hyphenation patterns are loaded correctly, however when I want to write an apostrophed word, hyphenation doesn't work. For example, the word "instructions" is written "instruccions". When I want to say "of instructions" is "d'instruccions". Hyphenation rules in catalan work normally in this case, that is: "d'ins-truc-cions" but I see in context the whole word at the end of a column line surpassing the margin limits without hyphenation. I see that this is happening in all words beginning with contracted articles or prepositions like d' l' etc... How can I solve this, Thanks to all, Zeus.

Hi, I'm reprting another problem with jammed context/luatex. To avoid my previous problem with table I tried trunk version of luatex. One problem is solved, another one appeared - but now it's not so easy to determine what causes the trouble. I found following: When I try to compile my thesis(quite long doc.), everythig seem to work fine until final step(final pdf file has 99.8% of its normal size) where it hangs using 100% CPU, just after this report: report:lua : loaded patterns - cz:cz:pat:exc:3 en:en:pat:exc:2 lua : current memory usage - 294785281 bytes lua : cleaned up reserved nodes - 18 nodes, 11 lists (of 100) remark : temporary fallback to base mode for tlig and trep ) (see the transcript file for additional information) node memory in use: -3138 words out of 100000 I uncovered that when I comment out line with my font settings (\usetypescriptfile.................) leaving everything default, complilation passes OK. It's strange, because another thin that helps is deleting some lines of the source file, i.e. this line: \part{something} Deleting of some other different lines helps too, I can't find the rule, sorry. I'm still not able to make simple document causing the same problem. I'm sorry for bothering you again. ZS
