Bookmark question -- solved, apologize

Good evening. I dare to ask one more question: For many years I use a dirty approach to typesetting quotes. I the document I simply type "words in quotes", and then I switch the quotes to be an active character with some macros. But this brings a lot of garbage to bookmarks. Now it even makes an error with the new version of ConTeXt (ver: 2003.8.21). Can I temporaryly switch quotes to category 12 (just for bookmark processing)? How? With many thanks Michal Kvasnicka P.S. Bug in interaction mechanism?

Good morning. I'm sorry I bother you all again with the same thing, but it seems to me unexplained. (Well, at least I think so. I have some problems with my mail some weeks. Anyway, I wasn't able to find any answer in ConTeXt-archives.) The problem is this: It seems that I can't set both interaction-color and the interaction-text together. The following code: \definecolor[interactioncolor][r=0.25882, g=0.25098, b=0.56078] \setupinteraction[state=start, focus=standard, style=, color=interactioncolor] \setupcombinedlist[content][interaction=text] brings strange error messages: ! Use of \@@lititleinteractie doesn't match its definition. \doifvalue ...f \!!stringa {\csname #1\endcsname } \edef \!!stringb {#2}\ifx ... \dosomelijstelement ... #1\c!interactie }\v!tekst {\setlistparameter {#1}\c!... \dodolijstelement ...ment {#1}{#2}{#3}{#4}{#5}{#6} \global \utilitydonetrue l.8 ...y{title}{3}{}{Úvod}{3::0:3:0:0:0:0:0::2}{4} If I comment the \setupcombinedlist line, all works well. (OT) Berliner TeX-Stammtisch

Ahoi, the main part of this message is in german, since it is mainly directed to people from Berlin/Germany. It is an invitation to the monthly meeting of the local TeX-user group. In the last weeks i often have seen here mail-adresses that indicate that some of you are living in Berlin. Perhaps you are interested in meeting other TeX-users. Currently ConTeXt plays a minor role in these meetings, but if you join us this can change with your help ;-) Jens FWD of german invitation posted to d.c.t.t and TeX-D-L: Liebe TeXnikerinnen und TeXniker. Am 9. Oktober um 19 Uhr trifft sich wieder einmal der Berliner TeX-Stammtisch. Somit möchten wir alle TeX-Begeisterte aus Berlin und Umland zu einem TeXnischen Abend einladen. Wir treffen uns im Hausprojekt K9, Kinzigstraße 9, 10247 Berlin Klick: http://www.BerlinOnline.de/citymap/explorer?ADR_ZIP=10247&ADR_STREET=Kinzig… Dort treffen wir uns im sogenannten "Größenwahn". Dieser Veranstaltungsraum befindet sich in der ersten Etage im Hinterhaus; also über den Innenhof gehen und dann links hinter der Remise die Freitreppe nutzen -- schon ist man da. An diesem Abend werden aktuelle Entwicklungen und Pakete aus dem TeX-, LaTeX- und MetaPost-Umfeld vorgestellt oder besprochen, an deren Entwicklung Mitglieder des Stammtischs beteiligt sind. Es bleibt dann natürlich noch genug Zeit, andere Dinge zu besprechen oder für diverse Probleme nach Lösungen zu suchen. Hi all! TEXEXEC documentation and self documented 'texexec.rme' file says that it should be copied to 'texexec.ini'. First of all; I have two 'texexec.rme' in TeX tree; first in ...TeX/context/config the second in ...TeX/context/perltk Files looks to be identical but and the second location has a priority. But which location is more convenient for texexec config file? The second question is WHY I have to copy 'texexec.rme' to 'texexec.ini'? If I do so and change some settings in 'texexec.ini' and than run 'texexec --verbose', I can see that settings are still taken from 'texexec.rme'. Could You tell me what is the point in copying RME to INI and when INI file is used instead RME? Thanks, Pawe/l

The smallest instalation for work with ConTeXt and MetaFun (TeXLive8) ?

Hi, Anybody has an experience with TeXLive (8 or 7) - what is the smallest installation type for working with ConTeXt and (absolutely necessary) MetaFun - I tried 'generic basic' and 'generic recommended' but I can't make MP graphics - I have a problem with it again ;( Of course 'full' installation works fine, but I have no idea what I need in smaller installation to working fine... Probably I forgot change something (again) in config files - in log I have: This is pdfeTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.11a-2.1 (Web2c 7.5.2) (format=cont-en 2003.10.6) 6 OCT 2003 04:15 entering extended mode %&-line parsing enabled. ... \openout0 = `_back-mpgraph.mp'. \openout0 = `_back-mprun.mp'. \openout0 = `mpgraph.mp'. \openout0 = `mprun.mp'. ... [MP to PDF] (./_back-mpgraph.1) [2.2] \openout5 = `_back-mpgraph.mp'. mpost -progname=mpost -mem=metafun _back-mpgraph system()...disabled. ... and no graphic in pdf. But when I run mpost _back-mpgrapg.mp I have _back-mpgraph.1 file and another run of context includes graphic (this one) to pdf. What may be wrong ? -- Best regards, Martin

Figures enlargement

Hi, Now I'm trapped in ConTeXt, I wish to reproduce a nice feature : when we mouse clic on a small (ex: 0.25\textwidth) picture, this one gets bigger (ex : 1\textwidth). It's for an A4 portrait double columns technical paper. Thanks for the tip. olivier Turlier

Footnotes

Hi, Just in case some one is interested in detailed footnote problems: In the last time I was fiddling a lot on the problem of setting up footnotes - the task was to have different defined font and interlinespace sizes for text as well as for footnotes. The first solution that I constructed with commands and keywords from the manual (and etexshow) seemed to give the desired result: \setupbodyfont[10pt] \setupinterlinespace[line=15pt] \definefont [FNfont][Serif at 8pt] \def\FNstyle{\FNfont\setupinterlinespace[line=15pt]} \setupfootnotes[numbercommand=] \setupfootnotedefinition[style=\FNstyle] \starttext \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \stoptext But it just worked OK for *normal* sizes. When set to extreme values it begun to show strange phenomena (see the distances over and under each first line of a footnote): \setupbodyfont[4pt] \setupinterlinespace[line=45pt] \definefont [FNfont][Serif at 4.5pt] \def\FNstyle{\FNfont\setupinterlinespace[line=12pt]} \setupfootnotes[numbercommand=] \setupfootnotedefinition[style=\FNstyle] \starttext \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \stoptext After re-combining the different option and command for setupfootnotes and setupfootnotedefinition without improvement, I started to search through the source files and found the very interesting command \setfootnotebodyfont. With this command a setup can be written that works, finally: \setupbodyfont[4pt] \setupinterlinespace[line=45pt] \definefont [FNfont][Serif at 4.5pt] \def\setfootnotebodyfont{\FNfont\setupinterlinespace[line=12pt]} \setupfootnotes[numbercommand=] \setupfootnotedefinition[style=\FNfont] \starttext \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \input tufte \footnote{\input knuth } \stoptext Maybe this helps someone.
