outer floats on doublesided pages

Dear all, I have problems with the placement of floats. I need them to be placed in the outer edge of the text, but Context puts them in the middle of the page. The outer, inner, outeredge, inneredge, commands do not work. Right and left do work. Preferably the criterium option should also work, e.g. criterium=0.67. A minimal test file is attached. Try it out with a dummy, or with cow picture, or with any other picture of your liking. I updated my context installation today to a bèta version. The version is: 2013.08.30 02.05. When the second edition of the second volume was published, in 1976, the whole book had to be typeset again because the Monotype technology had been largely replaced by photographic techniques, and the original fonts were no longer available.[4] When Knuth received the galley proofs of the new book on 30 March 1977, he found them awful.[5] Around that time, Knuth saw for the first time the output of a high-quality digital typesetting system, and became interested in digital typography. The disappointing galley proofs gave him the final motivation to solve the problem at hand once and for all by designing his own typesetting system. On 13 May 1977, he wrote a memo to himself describing the basic features of TeX.[6] \placeedgefigure[][]{}{\framed[frame=off]{\externalfigure[cow][scale=150]}} He planned to finish it on his sabbatical in 1978, but as it happened the language was not frozen until 1989, more than ten years later. Guy Steele happened to be at Stanford during the summer of 1978, when Knuth was developing his first version of TeX. When Steele returned to MIT that autumn, he rewrote TeX's I/O to run under the ITS operating system. The first version of TeX was written in the SAIL programming language to run on a PDP-10 under Stanford's WAITS operating system. For later versions of TeX, Knuth invented the concept of literate programming, a way of producing compilable source code and cross-linked documentation typeset in TeX from the same original file. Different counters for titles

To solve my last asked question, I chose a somewhat easiert way and defined an own chapter-title, which is unnumbered. Here is my Minexample: \definehead[mychapter][chapter] \setuphead[mychapter][number=no] \setupcombinedlist[content] [list={mychapter, chapter, section}] \starttext \completecontent \mychapter{Vorwort} \chapter{First Chapter} \section{Some section in the first chapter} \chapter{Second chapter} \section{Some section in the second chapter} \stoptext The problem is now: Obviously the counter of mychapter and chapter is the same. Because "first chapter" begins with number 2, but should with 1 – that was the intention of this new chapter style, which is nothing but a unnumbered copy of the default chapter. Was that idea wrong? How to give chapter and mychapter their own counters, to achieve this result – or any other way to let "first chapter" begin with 1 (but not subtract 1 from the numbers, because that ends up in the first section "1.0". The first section of the first chapter should be numbered with "1.1", as usual). Huseyin

It seems that there is a bug with \textwidth and \linewidth inside mixed columns. The word "yellow" is displayed just before the table. How can this be fixed?

Thanks Wolfgang, nearly perfect, what I wanted. But I had to subtract from all section numbers 1, to let the section numbers begin with 1 in the second chapter (my first chapter is without numbering and without sections, there this question comes from). So in the above example everything is fine, besides this "x.0", the second numbers (indicating the section) should always begin with "1". Is that possible? Huseyin

> You can the section number with \getmarking[sectionnumber], the chapter number with \getmarking[chapternumber] etc. Thanks Wolfgang! And another question about numbering: How can I let start the numbering of chapters with the number n (not 1, as default)? E.g. with n=0 or n=2? Thanks. Huseyin

problem with \cldcontext{} and aligncharacter=yes

Numbering sections

I have activated numbering sections by *\setuphead[section][number=yes]*, and now the numbers are in the toc, too, as they should. How to show the numbers in the header, too? The header is: *\setupheadertexts [][{\grau{\tfx\getmarking[section]}}][{\definedfont[name:myriadprosemibold at 10pt]\grau\getmarking[chapter]}][]* But the numbers of the sections are not shown in the header, only the titles. Get rid of LuaTeX warning on duplicate destination identifier

Hi, I am trying to pick up on an old thread of creating an overview page [1]. Basically, the idea is to create an overvew slide at the end of a presentation that shows the first page of different sections in a presentation. Based on Wolfgang's answer in that old thread, I save the relevant pages in a box, and then display them again at the end of the presentation. This works, except that I get a series of warnings: l.86 \placeoverviewpage LuaTeX warning (ext4): destination with the same identifier (name{aut:10}) has been already used, duplicate ignored How do I get rid of these? Making font smaller in \starttyping environment?

Hello, I know I should be able to do it (and think I've done it once upon a time), but how do I change the font size just for \tt and for \starttyping \stoptyping environment? I have no problems with the font used, I just want my typed text to be a tad smaller (like \tfx for that font). Once again I feel very bewildered in the font land... Thanks, Mari
