Problem with Module Units

Footnote mark gap

Dear All, when footnotes are placed after certain accented characters, the corresponding footnote marks are rendered too close to them: \starttext í\footnote{í} T\footnote{T} ľ\footnote{ľ} ě\footnote{ě} ď\footnote{ď} \stoptext Is there any option for making this distance a bit larger? On the other hand this gap may produce too much white space when placed after characters like period or comma... Ideally it could be positioned 'optically' ;-) Regards, Jan

different page sizes on one sheet

hi, i'm new to the list and also pretty new to ConTeXt (but I used LaTeX for a lot of years), but need a quite complicated page setup right in the beginning: i have a combination of two A5 pages and four A6 pages and i'd like to put them on one double sided A4 paper sheet (please use monotyped font to see the scheme correctly) +----------+----------+ | | | | A6 | | | | | +----------+ A5 + | | | | A6 | | | | | +----------+----------+ the same for the back page. in the end cutting the A4 sheet should let the A5 pages and A6 pages undestroyed :-) i have tried combining \setuppaper[nx=2, ny=2, dx=0mm, dy=0mm] \setuparranging[XY] but didn't get a satisfying result because of different page sizes involved ... any ideas? cheers artur ps. here my starting point: \setuppaper[nx=2, ny=2, dx=0mm, dy=0mm] \setuparranging[XY] \showframe[cut=true] \setuppapersize[A5][A4,landscape] \starttext Page 1. Hi guys, I haven't played with ConTeXt for three month because of my examinations. Today, I delete the old version and reinstall a new one from the ConTeXt garden, but it seems that the new one can't run successfully. It says that unknown script 'context.lua' or 'mtx-context.lua. Dear list, I'm rewriting a handbook I wrote with ConTeXt. While testing typography, I'm recompiling the sources now with Mark IV. My sources still compile fine with ConTeXt, buyt I'm getting this error with Mark IV. ! You can’t use ‘\end’ in internal vertical mode Can anyone shed some light? Feature Request: ToC page number alternative

Hi, The predefined alternative list setups (e.g., a, b, c...) provide various ways to format the ToC with the page number to the right of the list entry title. An alternative with the page number to the left of the list entry title would be useful. Update overwrites configuration

Hi, 1. Edit .../tex/texmf/web2c/texmfcnf.lua 2. Set TEXMFCACHE = "/var/cache/context/texmf-cache" 3. Run first-setup.sh to update ConTeXt. Expected Results TEXMFCACHE remains "/var/cache/context/texmf-cache" Actual Results TEXMFCACHE reverts to "$SELFAUTOPARENT/texmf-cache" If the values have been changed, then: (a) updates should not overwrite the new values; (b) an option to prevent overwriting new values on upgrade should be available; (c) user should be prompted to overwrite changed configuration values; (d) user should be prompted to accept overwriting each new value; or (e) a backup of the configuration file should be made, followed by a message that the changes have been overwritten and previous values archived.

[Index] Indenting long primaries after secondaries

Dear All, when a long primary is preceded with the secondary or tertiary index entry, the second line is not indented as usual, see the following example: \setupregister[balance=no] \starttext \index{primary+secondary+tertiary} \index[primary long]{\dorecurse{5}{primary long }} \index[primary longer]{\dorecurse{5}{primary longer }} % but this is Ok \input{tufte} \completeindex \stoptext How can I avoid this? Additional typeface styles/alternatives with Selectfont

Dear List, I think Selectfont is great -- thank you, Wolfgang, for your work. However, I miss the features to define and use additional typeface styles and alternatives. Not everything fits in the predefined scheme of rm, ss, tt, hw, cg and mm, so it would be nice to have the possibility to define additional typeface styles. (I'm thinking for example about blackletter here.) It would also be nice if one could access arbitrary typeface alternatives, however the typeface creator has named them (e.g. something like semicondensed-ultrabold). At the moment, I think, it is only possible to map a few alternatives to the predefined switches. Kind regards, Joshua
