interlines space for local footnotes

I am using only local footnotes in a document, but am having difficulty influencing the interlines space between these notes. Since I am only using local footnotes, I thought initially that the following would work for them \startsetups[footnote:interlinespace] \setupinterlinespace[line=2.4ex] \stopsetups \setupnote[footnote][setups=footnote:interlinespace] but it doesn't. I had hoped there might be something like \setuplocalfootnotes but there is not. I also tried placing the setups locally, either with \startlocalfootnotes[setups=footnote:interlinespace] or \placelocalfootnotes[setups=footnote:interlinespace]. Any idea how I can successfully influence my local footnotes globally? Julian

Table of contents not appearing.

missing xml call

\xmlatt{}{} has a counterpart \xmlattribute{}{LPATH}{} where one can start the search for the attribute at LPATH. for \xmlchainatt{}{} I am missing such a counterpart \xmlchainattribute{}{LPATH}{} where one can do the same. The problem now is that \xmlchainatt{#1}{att} always finds attribute att when it is defined on the node itself. But consider the case where att="true" exists with the intention to trigger a search higher up in the call chain for that same attribute att. Of course \xmlattribute{#1}{..}{att} is not exactly the same as \xmlchainattribute{#1}{..}{att} would be . yours sincerely dr. Hans van der Meer

Non-standard font alternatives

Hi list, I'm looking to import a font with medium and light weights (in this case Roboto) and define font alternatives so one can quickly switch to light text just as one would switch to bold text. There is a stackexchange answer from Wolfgang (https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/303648/context-font-weights) which details a solution to this problem for ConTeXt MkIV but despite my best efforts I haven't been able to get things to work for me. There is the Roboto typescript example on ConTeXt garden but it isn't exactly what I'm looking for as for the document I'm making I would prefer to be able to treat the font weights as alternatives rather than separate families since I will be switching often. I played around with different two character \definefontalternative arguments to ensure there was no overlap with existing commands (as far as I am aware the existing set are otherwise undefined) A few things to note: 1. My current version of ConTeXt is 2022.12.09 16:34 2. Dear Everyone, Following my attempts to create and learn Context's ways to manage fonts, I would like to ask about the following: I've created the structure for fonts in texmf-local folder and after running scripts they are listed. The output for Roboto Flex is as follows: identifier familyname fontname filename subfont instances robotoflex robotoflex robotoflexregular robotoflex.ttf thin extralight light regular medium semibold bold extrabold black extrablack thinitalic extralightitalic lightitalic italic mediumitalic semibolditalic bolditalic extrabolditalic blackitalic extrablackitalic What is the proper way to use family name or font name to create a typescript file and a goodies file to take advantage of optical sizes. Google's Roboto Flex is an upgraded Roboto as a variable font. I know that this topic has been discussed many times and I've read the fonts manual but still have these questions. Most of the examples are rather ready solutions or templates but not always cover ways how to figure out values from scratch and how they correspond. Thanks for help, Pawel

In the wiki page https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Indentation there is the following example: %------------------------------------------------------------------------ \setupindenting[medium,yes] \setupitemize[indentnext=auto] \startitemize \item One \stopitemize This paragraph should be indented - due to the blank line after \type{\stopitemize}. \startitemize \item Two \stopitemize This paragraph should not be indented. %------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tragically, the paragraph which claims it should be indented is not, in both my test and the wiki page itself. xmlsetentity on the fly?

I would like to change an entity 'on the fly'. Example \def\DATE{THEDATE}\expanded{\xmlsetentity{DATE}{\DATE}} \startxmlsetups typ:event \def\DATE{NEWDATE}\expanded{\xmlsetentity{DATE}{\DATE}} Using &DATE; within the <event>. \stopxmlsetups However, using &DATE; inside an <event> always results in THEDATE and never in NEWDATE.
