clipping in metafun has weird side effects

Dear all, I stumbled upon some very weird behaviour of clipping in metafun/context. When I add some clipped pictures to currentpicture and draw something dashed, some subsequent lines will also be drawn dashed. This behaviour only shows up with context but not with mptopdf or mpost. I attached a minimal example and the corresponding output of context and mptopdf. I tried context versions 2014.05.21 22:04 and 2014.10.29 17:47, but the result is the same in both. Tobias --

(again) bug in index sorting?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A6] \starttext \index{tipografía digital} \index{tipografías} \index{tomato white} \index{tomatoes red} \index{idioma+de un pasaje} \index{idioma+del documento} \completeindex \stoptext Latest beta from 2014.10.31 12:47 sorts the index entries the following way: tomatoes red tomato white Of course, this sample doesn’t make sense, but the entries in Spanish do. All of them are wrong sorted. Stable version from 2014.01.03 00:40. The different sorting criterium seems to have been introduced in beta from 2014.10.22 16:23. Or shouldn’t be the first word sorted first and then the second one in index entry? Could anyone be so kind to confirm the bug? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

about layers

I am working on making a letter head which will have two separate main components. 1.) A jpeg graphical component and a 2.) the companies address (probably created with tabulate, but I don't know yet. I wanted to ask what other people have done when using similar methods? Any advice will be greatly appreciated..

\placetable whitespace problem in columnset

I have a document using columnsets to place tables near an entry in a long list of sorts. The problem is that wherever I issue a \placetable \placefigure etc command, I get unwanted extra whitespace between entries where the command is issued. I have tried changing the parameters in \setupfloats, but haven't found a setting that works. I'm using the context version distributed with the latest texlive. Error Messages

Hi, After upgrading to version 2014.10.07, I recompiled a document that had gathered some dust and was greeted with: tex error > error on line 34 in file ...: ! Math error: parameter \Umathquad\displaystyle is not set The document compiled using a previous version, and no changes were made prior to upgrading. Having the line number and filename is a good start. The error message, however, is confounding. >From this error message I have no idea: - What triggered the error. - Why \Umathquad\displaystyle is relevant. - How to resolve the problem. >From superficial appearances, line 34 is fine (itemized list). In addition to the error message, would it be possible to provide a link to the wiki that offers more information? The information on the wiki page would include: - a unique identifier for the error number (e.g., err-tex-00001) - the error string ("Math error: parameter ... is not set") - a simple document that shows how to reproduce the problem - a document that shows one way to fix the issue - if relevant, note the ConTeXt version(s) that the simple document compiles without error - a brief description of why the error happens (i.e., explain why the error shows up in the subsequent ConTeXt versions) Thank you.

Any plans on documentation?

Hi, I think I saw in the plan of the ConTeXt meeting something about documentation. Was anything cleared there? Is there a plan to document ConTeXt? At least the basics, updating old manuals and adding the most important “features” or changes. Cheers. Manuel

framed and placefigure

why this happens: After a specification of the foregroundcolor the figures are behind a framed color. \setupframed[offset=2mm, corner=round, background=color, backgroundcolor=blue, foregroundcolor=yellow, frame=off, strut=no, align=normal, location=top, width=\textwidth] For example, is this case my \placefigure[right,nonumber,2*hang] {}{\externalfigure[ostrichhead][width=5cm]} is behind a yellow framed rectangle. Hey list, I've gone through the letter module manual below: <http://bitbucket.org/wolfs/correspondence/downloads/correspondence.pdf> On p.130 of 148, as indexed by my renderer, there is a great looking resume template that is blue and black on light grey. I've tried looking for the source of this everywhere, including in the book's, but I can't seem to find it.
