Trying to force a particular page sequence

I’m having trouble to produce a particular page sequence, all pages without page numbers: Title page (I have that) First left page with a text block in the lower left corner First right page with a statement centered, 1/3 down I’ve been trying working with \page, but what I get is Title page Empty page (first left) Right page with text (not yet in the lower left corner Left page with statement Right page with page number on top This is what I have in my prd_book.tex. Defining and using font weights

Hello, I'm not able to figure out how I can make use of a font with "custom" font weights. I have a font that comes with "regular", "bold", "half-bold" and "ultra bold". I currently define the font like this: \definefontfamily[myfont][rm][myfont][sc=file:MyFontRegular,bf=file:MyFontBold] Which at least makes it possible to use the default font and \bf ... But simply adding something like hb=... or ult=... doesn't seem to cut it. So how would I define this font to be able to also use the half-bold and ultra weights? (preferably with a switch like \bf, \it, etc.) Best regards, Andreas

setupinmargin, setupmargindata ; page numbers ; fonts

Hi all, I am having trouble with the control of fonts in \inmargin{} and in page numbers. I'm also having trouble with the alignment in \inmargin{}, and with font sizes generally. I've used what I know about \setupmargindata and \setupinmargin(and \setuppagenumbering). Below is an example that (almost) does what I want. The two or three problems I've tried and failed to solve are 1. control over the font size of the marginal note (rather than just \small; I want to choose a point-size) 2. control over the font and size of the page number. At first I used \setuppagenumbering[location={header, right, inmargin}] (yes, one of 'right' and 'inmargin' seems to be redundant). Getting a sans-serif page number, I assumed that \setupmargindata was controlling that, so I just switched to 'right', but my page number is still sans-serif. I've tried such things as [location={header, right}, style={normal, small}], as well as variants {\small}, {normal}, {\normal}, serif, \serif, etc. with not luck 3. in \setupmargindata and \setupinmargin, none of the 'align=' options seems to have any effect. More generally, I have trouble understanding how to specify font sizes in ConTeXt, how to set up the font and font-size of page elements, how to include comma-separated lists following 'style=', where even within braces all but the first option seems to be ignored (at least in my margin setup commands). I also can't figure out why, though the default (location) for \setuppagenumbering is {header, center} (and (font style) normal?), my page numbers default to sans, and when 'location=right' is specified without 'header', the page number is on the right in the ... footer (?!) Reference text differing from title

prime accent not behaving properly

Hi, The "prime" accent (a') doesn't work properly in ConTeXt MKIV. I'm not sure when this became a problem, but it behaves differently in TL 2014 as it does in the latest ConTeXt. And it behaved differently on 9th November as is the version from 17th November. (In TL 2014 the two example below produce accents of different sizes.) Minimal example: \starttext \startformula s_i' s'_i s_i^2 s^2_i \stopformula \stoptext The first two symbols should look the same, but they don't. They should also be treated in the same way as "^2". With ConTeXt from 17th November the second example (s'_i) seems to behave OK (it was wrong in the version of 9th November), but the first example is still wrong. Should I switch back to MKII? ;) Mojca

I have played with: \startuniqueMPgraphic{line} path a; a:=(0,0)--(0,3cm); draw a withpen pencircle scaled 3pt withcolor green; \stopuniqueMPgraphic \defineoverlay[line][{\uniqueMPgraphic{line}}] and using it in \framed, but placing the line correctly is elusive.

Interesting moves with the mpost bounding box. I thought I might need more flexibility—overlays—but it has turned out that single mp graphic with labels for the commentary will work for the task. Does EPUB output require mkiv?

It seems that \setupbackend does not work in mkii (I’ve put it into the environmentfile). Is indeed mkiv required? If so, is there an instruction somewhere how to move from mkii to mkiv? G
