CSV scanners built in ConTeXt - feature or bug?

Hi ConTeXist A few days ago Hans pointed me builtin CSV splitter. I tried to test it sure will come in handy for my needs. I found that if the CSV file contain a blank line, then it stops processing the file (see my minimal example). It is clear to me that the incorrectness of file format (eg. different number of columns in rows etc.) may cause interruption of processing, however, I want to ask whether there is an opportunity to process the CSV file with blank lines until the end of CSV file. I noticed that when I exporting data from Excel sometimes happens that in the export file will appear blank line. Is it interrupt processing a feature of a buildin splitter or is it a bug? Can it possibly somehow fix or add new functionality? textbackground

Hello, For a multilingual document, alternating one language or another, not necessarily a bilingual, translated text, I thought about using textbackground to set-off paragraphs. This technique could also apply to a single language text having multiple levels of information, perhaps statements followed by discussion, etc. A problem appears with respect to footnotes that I do not know how to handle. If the backgrounded text goes across pages placing footnotes, then the footnote also gets the background. This is incorrect, perhaps a bug. Second problem, if a footnote of a backgrounded text gets placed on a following page, then it may not get a background. (It is not clear to me whether it would be correct for footnotes to get the background or not.) Of course, a solution to this secondary problem might be before={\startlocalfootnotes}, after={\placelocalfootnotes\stoplocalfootnotes}, although such a solution would postpone backgrounded footnotes to the end of the backgrounded text. Page numbering, new style and running heads.

The new method of handling page numbering (roman and arabic) using e.g., \setupuserpagenumber[numberconversion=Romannumerals] \setcounter[userpage][5] works just fine if you remember one thing: in running heads the word "pagenumber" has to be replaced with "userpagenumber". Problem with framed text.

In several palces I want to set up framed text with a gray background and rounded corners. Here is my \setupframed description: \setupframed[ framecorner=round, frameradius=0.1, background=screen, backgroundscreen=0.70, backgroundcorner=round, backgroundradius=0.1, corner=round, radius=0.1 ] -------------------- And here is my first framed text: -------------------------- \startframedtext[middle] \centerline{A Vision Example} \QQ{[In the year 20xx], our company is internationally recognized as the premier supplier of [your food products]. We regularly exceed customer expectations by providing innovative and valuable [your food products] .} \stopframedtext ------------------------------------ The hangup seems to be the rounded corners. I am using texlive 2014. BTW the macro QQ is my shorthand for \quotation which is much to long IMO. But I am American and use double quotes a lot. \def\QQ#1{\quotation{#1}} That is not the problem. Everything works until I try to use rounded corners. The customer had them on the last edition of the book, probably done with MSWord (!) All answers appreciated. -- John Culleton Wexford Press

duplicate booklet arrangement

Hans, I need to generate a duplicate booklet from a PDF file. It would be like \setuparrange[2UP, singlesided]. But I need an extra imposition (this is what I have to do now), repeating the same booklet imposition one above each other. This would require a \setuppaper such as [A6][A4]. The first four pages would be: last|first last-1|first+1 last-2|first+2 last+3|first+3 last|first last-1|first+1 last-2|first+2 last+3|first+3 Just in case I haven’t explained myself, here you have a sample: https://archive.org/download/ensayo-escritura/ensayo-escritura.pdf. ConTeXt was used to typeset the book and arrange the booklet. But I needed to use another tool for the final imposition. I think it might be useful for other users also. Different versions of Lua and error in the same versions of ConTeXt (Fedora vs Win7)

Hi ConTeXist... How can I find out what version of Lua uses ConTeXt TeXlive 2014 respectively what version of Lua uses Standalone ConTeXt? The point is that Pablo Rodriguez use Fedora 20, which comes with Lua-5.2.2. Pablo tested last version of my module ScanCSV and his current version of standalone ConTeXt gained mistake, while I compiled (with the same current version of Standalone under Win7) the same source code without error .... Can I use mkii and mkiv side by side?

I have a finished mkii project and I’d like to be able to export it to a format that can be a start for other distributions (such as epub or the like). For this, I get the impression I need mkiv. Now, before I go on trying to move my project to mkiv I have a question. Can I run mkii and mkiv side by side? That is, if I configure my TeX setup for mkiv (I am using MacTeX 2014), can I still fall back to the old setup when I fail? Second, is there some step-by-step instruction to move a project from mkii to mkiv? G

\seeindex bug?

The following: \starttext Fate\index{Fate} and Destiny\seeindex{Destiny}{Fate} \blank[3*big] \placeindex \stoptext produces an entry for “Destiny” that reads: *d* Destiny Fate *see Fate* If one comments out “Fate\index{Fate}”, the entry reads as it should: *d* Destiny *see Fate* Is there a way to cross-reference an indexed term X that has only * see X* and not X *see X*? Float placement problem (layers)

Dear all, I have a book cover that is created with layers. It has worked fine this far and I could swear that I haven't changed anything, but the file (attached) now hangs on placement of a graphic. For a long time I was running a version from September and in that the float worked, but I think it stopped working when I updated to newest current some time in January, I just haven't needed this particular file since then.
