buffers writing CR only instead of proper newlines (LF)

Hi, The gnuplot module recently stopped working because the buffers now seem to write out the CR (0x0d) instead of the LF character for newlines. Here's a minimal example as shamelessly stolen from the module: \long\def\startXheader {\def\stopXheader{\ifx\savebuffer\undefined \else \savebuffer[x-header]\fi}% \dostartbuffer[x-header][startXheader][stopXheader]} \def\resetXheader {\immediate\openout\scratchwrite=\jobname-x-header.tmp \immediate\closeout\scratchwrite} \resetXheader \starttext \startXheader hello bachotex \stopXheader \stoptext The problem is that I end up with a file with what vim shows as "hello^Mbachotex" (^M = character 0x0d / CR). Check the character after a macro

Hello, Is it possible to check (in a macro definition) if the character following the macro is included in a set of characters? Something that could work like this: \def\MyMacro#1{% \ifNextCharIn{abcd} \dothis% \else \dothat% \fi% } Cheers.

Synonyms’ \infull doesn’t work anymore

Hi, starting with the Beta from 16 April I have a problem with synonyms. The \infull part doesn’t work anymore. Example: ``` \definesynonyms [Tea] [Teas] [\fullTea] \setupsynonyms [Tea] [synonymstyle=italic] \Tea [tFop] {FOP} {Flowery Orange Pekoe} \starttext \tFop\ is ‘\fullTea{tFop}’. \stoptext ``` I can make it work again with some hackery in the strc-syn.mkiv file: If I copy back the line `\simplelistparameter\c!textcommand{\clf_synonymmeaning{#1}{#2}}%` (e.g. from the Beta 14 April) into the `strc_synonyms_insert_meaning` definition (at line ~338) it works again. Letterhead Usage

I have created a letterhead for correspondence, but it is too unfriendly to have to include it in every time. I would like to use it as a package, but don't know if it's possible. The problem I see is that the command \setlayer must be done after the \starttext command. If it doesn't then formatting commands such as \sc will not take affect and I believe a different font is also applied. What would be a user friendly way to implement letterheads (made up using the layers functionality of context? Thanks

line number overwriting

Hello, I've got some strange behavior with verbatim text : The lines of the verbatim text got two different numbering that overwrite each other. I think that I've read something about this but I don't find it in the mail archive. If I remember correctly, there is a bug into the line number routine when you use a verbatim text into a column set with the paragraph command and when the verbatim text is enclosed into a frame. Lucida Type1 Fonts

I have been using TUG's Lucida Type1 fonts for a while in ConTeXt, but a recent update of the standalone version of ConTeXt is giving the following when building a document containing math: unknown math characters: μ (U+003BC) σ (U+003C3) χ (U+003C7) (n=44) Obviously, it's having a problem with \mu and \chi, and these characters are showing up as a "?" in the document. Does anyone know what may have changed recently to break Lucida Type1 support? Troy

I've searched the garden for how to do the simple function of including a context macro file into another one for text and formats that I want to reuse. But, I can find nothing when I searched for intuitive words such as "include", "import" , "use" and "file" , etc What is the command name?
