flushing the last hbox of a paragraph to the right

Hello list, I'm typesetting end notes with the pages where they get called (don't think about \endnote since I'm not using it; they are simple \item paragraphs). Here's an example: 4 Text of the end note blah blah blah blah blah, end of para. p. 3, 45, 96 which means that the end note 4 occurs in pages 3, 45, 96. The pages are flushed to the right using \hfill. This works as long as there's enough room for the pages' numbers. In case like this: 5 Text of the fifth endnote blah blah blah a little longer to fill the text width. p. 4, 12 the pages are note flushed right because the \hfill expires at the end of the second line. What I'd like is this: 5 Text of the fifth endnote blah blah blah a little longer to fill the text width. p. 4, 12 Since I'm typesetting XML, is there an automatic way to achieve that right alignment in both cases? Dear Hans and Otared, Thank you for the reply. I tried "%!TEX root =“ with no space before but it does’t work. I think that ConTeXt doesn’t do anything as you said. The strange thing is that it worked in ConTeXt file sometime ago. I don’t remember from when it didn’t work. Anyway it is not a big problem, though. Best regards, Dalyoung

% !TeX root problem

Dear all, I use product file: FM_main.tex which contains component files like FM_1.tex, FM_2.tex, etc. They are all in the same folder. In each component file, I put “% !TEX root=FM_main.tex” at the first line. It worked fine but some time after it won’t work. I know that it is a matter of TeXShop, but I just wonder why it doesn’t work now. Is there any clue for this? I am using TeXShop in the latest Mac OS X. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Dalyoung

anchor points for \inmargin

Dear Sirs, I'm trying to make a exam for my students. After the question I should provide a blank space for the answer. In the margin I want write the partial scores for the answer. The problem occurs when I force a new page. In this case the text in the margin is flushed to the next page. I don't want this behavior. How can I can this? Another question: How can I anchor the scores in the middle of the vertical blank space? This \vskip4cm\Info{scores}\vskip4cm don't make the job. Thanks in advance. location of old ConTeXt versions?

Dear ConTeXters, In order to correct an embarrassing thinko (wrong units of acceleration!) in my book for its next printing, I need to regenerate the PDF changing only that one spot. Thus, I am looking for an old ConTeXt version, 2014.05.17. The latest versions find different page and line breaks. I haven't been able to convince them to rediscover the old breaks (which were carefully optimized over a few miserable weeks back in 2014). I have the 2014.05.17 minimal on my old laptop, a i386 32-bit Linux laptop (2006 vintage). I joined the 2010 decade recently and now use 64-bit laptop; the 32-bit minimals don't work on it. The wiki, at <http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Standalone#Reverting_to_an_older_inst…>, says that the old versions are available at <http://minimals.contextgarden.net/current/context/>, where I found only the latest versions. Could you point me to a linux/64-bit minimal for 2014.05.17? I'll update the wiki accordingly. (If the old versions are gone, I'll dig out my old laptop and regenerate it that way, or try convincing the laptop to use 32-bit executables as well.) only page number in the header of the chapter title page

Hello list, how can I keep the page number but not the header text in the page of a chapter title? \setuphead[chapter][header=empty] makes all the header disappear. Is there an option to keep the page number? Thanks, Massi

How to scale an external figure from lua ?

Dear all, I am trying to write some lua code that loads some pdf file and scales it. I have the following code (got from previous question here to get number of pages from a pdf and from source files). local figure = figures.push { name = filename, scale = N } -- scale value does not seem to be taken in account assert(figure, 'Could not load figure from file ' .. filename) figures.identify() figures.check() figures.dummy() -- needed ? figures.scale() -- how to pass the scaling factor ? local d = figures.done() print('Scales ' .. figure.status.xscale .. ' ' .. figure.status.yscale) -- outputs Scales 1 1 figures.pop() Hoping that’s possible to do in lua code and my questions are not too dumb (still a beginner in ConTeXt). Kerning and ligatures in math roman font

In this example there is no kerning and no ligatures in the math: \starttext WAiff $\mfunction{WAiff}$ \stoptext This is a different behaviour than with legacy math fonts. A question about this has been asked some month ago on tex.sx (http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/252493/ligatures-are-not-used-in-ope…) The problem (or feature) exist also with xetex. With luatex one can avoid to loose the kerning by loading as math roman font a font in mode base (http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/277362/lualatex-no-kerning-within-op…, I have no idea how to do this in context). Is this a luatex/xetex bug? Or a feature? How could one enable kerning and/or ligatures without going back to base mode? -- Ulrike Fischer http://www.troubleshooting-tex.de/
