Convert tif to jpg (instead of pdf)

Hi, According to the documentation, it is possible to automatically convert TIFF images to a format supported by LMTX via GraphicsMagick. https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Using_Graphics#Image_Conversion However, by default this produces pdf files which are quite huge. is it possible to instruct grapichsmagick to convert tiff images to jpg instead of to pdf ? There's an example on the linked page in the documentation, but I have to admit that I don't quite understand what I should do... Best Denis

Fira Math: goodies needed?

Hi, I'm trying to use Fira Math (https://github.com/firamath/firamath) But this small example yields both limits on the same horizontal axis, i.e. the 0 is far away from the integral sign: \definefontfamily [mainface] [mm] [Fira Math] \setupbodyfont [mainface] \starttext \startformula \int_0^1 e^x \stopformula \stoptext Meanwhile, when I use LaTeX, the 0 is moved to the left and close to the integral sign: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage[mathrm=sym]{unicode-math} \setmathfont{Fira Math} \begin{document} \[ \int_0^1 e^x \] \end{document} In both cases /opt/texlive/2023/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype/public/firamath/FiraMath-Regular.otf is used... -- Leah Neukirchen <leah(a)vuxu.org> https://leahneukirchen.org/

Hi, I'm typesetting an XML document where the links to the images contain spaces which are encoded as %20 <graphic xlink:href="a%20filename%20with%20spaces.jpg"/> Using this works in cases without spaces: \startxmlsetups xml:fig:graphic \externalfigure[\xmlatt{#1}{xlink:href}] \stopxmlsetups This also works for normal spaces, but is there a way to decode/expand the %20s to regular spaces? OSFONTDIR

Hi everybody, just a short question: I was under the impression that ConTeXt would not look for system fonts unless we set OSFONTDIR explicitly; this appears to be the basis of the page Use_the_fonts_you_want on the wiki, and I prefer this behavior because it lets me control the fonts I want to use. Recently, however (when exactly? I don't know.) this seems to have changed, and ConTeXt now searches the system font directories by default. I found this out because one of my documents is set up to use the STIX2 fonts. In the most recent versions of macos, some files of these fonts are included as system fonts under /System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental, but not all of them. It took me some head scratching to figure out why every run complained about missing glyphs until I saw that ConTeXt was using the wrong font. I had to set the variable OSFONTDIR to some value to prevent this from happening. So my question is: is looking for system fonts by default the new standard? Is it a good idea? Problem with latest

Hi everybody, The latest (2023.07.18 22:07) has a consistent problem with all files on my computer; every run has this: fatal lua error: registered function call [1715]: ...s/lmtx/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/mkxl/l-lua.lmt:84: attempt to call a nil value (upvalue 'popen’) Does anyone else see this as well? Suppress label in captions without suppressing number

Hi, is there an option to suppress the label in captions without suppressing the number as well? I know, I can use \setuplabeltext[de][figure=,], but this will delete the label text globally... Is there a better way via \setupcaption? Best, Denis
