Table on two pages (natural tables)

Hello, My table does not fit on the first page that contains the title of the evaluation and I would like it to continue on the second page. I tried using the key split = yes but my table moves to the second page and there is more than the title of the first. thank you, Fabrice

'overprint' swallows leading number

The table is complex (lua generated), so no minimal example at hand. rotating some pages of a pdf

I'm using the following code, rotate.tex, to rotate all the pages of file.pdf, using: context --input=file.pdf --rotation=45 rotate.pdf rotate.tex ========== \getfiguredimensions [\getdocumentargument{input}] \starttext \dorecurse{\noffigurepages} {\startTEXpage \externalfigure [\getdocumentargument{input}] [page=\recurselevel, orientation=\getdocumentargument{rotation}] \stopTEXpage} \stoptext How could I use this code to rotate, say, the page five, 7º clockwise, and the page twenty, 15º counterclockwise? Hi, I have come up with a simpler MWE which shows the problem more explicitly: \setupcaptions[number=no] \starttext \startplacefigure[location=right] \startfloatcombination \placefigure{A Cow}{\externalfigure[cow.pdf]} \placefigure{Another Cow}{\externalfigure[cow.pdf]} \stopfloatcombination \stopplacefigure \input ward \startplacefigure[location=right,title=A Single Cow] \externalfigure[cow.pdf] \stopplacefigure \input ward \stoptext In the latest version of ConTeXt, the floatcombination is shoved to the left and overlaps the text which is also shoved to the left and narrowed down to a minimum. The single figure, on the other hand, is shoved correctly to the right and the text is at the left. In earlier versions of ConTeXt, the floatcombination is correctly shoved to the right. The reason for this change could be line 490 of pack-com.mkiv (in the definition of \pack_combinations_start_float). If I delete \dontleavehmode from this line then the correct layout is restored. Since I don't want to maintain my own version of ConTeXt, I very much would appreciate If anyone could tell me how to get the correct layout back, or fix this issue in ConTeXt. Your effort is genuinely appreciated! Christoph

unwanted vertical space below combinations captions

Hi, I'm trying to get rid of some vertical space below the caption of combinations. In the example below I want to have no space under the captions (i.e. the frame should almost touch the captions). I thought that height=fit would do this, but no luck. Result is attached. When I use location=middle (page 1), the table is centered and the "Following text" goes after (under) the table. This is what I want to achieve: the following text should be under the table. professional looking tables

Dear context users: In latex I could make professional looking tables using booktabs module. Using longtable package I could make nice looking multipage tables. I see that context offers several table environments. Which one of them is suitable for making professional (publication quality) tables? The requirements for such tables are the follows: - Only horizontal rules are needed - Ability to set the rule's thickness for top rule, bottom rule, middle rule - Ability to set the distance between rules and table content - Ability to set rule length shorter than cell or row width on both left and right sides - Ability to set rules for spanning only some of the columns In addition, for multipage tables: - head row at the start of table - head rows at top on every page (possibly including first page) - foot row ate the end of table - foot rows at the end of every page (possibly including last page) Is this feasible in current context? columnsetspan extra line

Dear all, I'm struggling with the column environments these days. The code below runs fine, but there are some problems with the result. 1) There is an extra blank line at the top of the left column. I can get rid of it with a \vskip-\baselineksip (commented out in the example) but that feels like a hack. Does anyone see why it is there from the beginning? 2) Why is the frame something like 3 lines down from the top of the page?
