adding fill-in fields to an existing PDF

Dear list, I have to add some fill-in fields (mainly digital signatures) to existing PDF documents which contain other fill-in fields. I found a PDF sample at http://www.thewebjockeys.com/TheWebJockeys/Fillable_PDF_Sample_from_TheWebJ…. If I try to impose the document, I loose all fields in the resulting PDF document. \setuplayout [backspace=0pt, topspace=0pt, width=middle, height=middle, location=middle, header=0pt, footer=0pt] \setupexternalfigure[interaction=all] \setupinteraction[state=start] \starttext \insertpages [Fillable_PDF_Sample_from_TheWebJockeys_vC5.pdf] [width=0pt] \stoptext How could I enable that the resulting PDF keeps all fields from the original document? two suggestions for \setuphead

Hans, here is my minimal sample: \showframe \starttext \setuphead[section][alternative=margin] \section{This is a title} \stoptext After having to adapt a special page design for a friend, I realized that reverse would be an even greater value for the alternative option in \setuphead when it could be combined with margin, inmargin and margintext. This may be reached with a special command, but avoiding a extra hack would be very helpful for newbies. Another issue with margin numbering is alignment: \showframe \starttext \setuphead[section][alternative=margin, align=center] \section{This is a title} \stoptext Would it be possible in this case to set both numberalign and textalign? (If no margin or inmargin alternative is selected and both numberalign and textalign are specified, textalign should have preference) I think those two suggestions would provide extra features for headings. Pretty printer

Hello, I'd like to write my own pretty-printer (it should just highlight words/members of a set-of-keywords with a color), preferably as a Lua handler. Following wiki: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Verbatim_text I searched for verb*.* or pret*.* in the Ctx distribution (on my local inst dir). However, I found only some MkII related files, whilst I'm interested in MkIV pretty printers ('pret-lua.*' for example). Where to find a pretty printer source/module (for inspiration)? Using MTPro2 math Fonts with ConTeXt

Hello, List. I am using the MTPro2 complete fonts (provided by the publisher house) for typesetting some math books in LaTeX this year. I also want to use ConTeXt to typeset other math books, those that don't come originally in LaTeX. However, the publisher requires that I use the MTPro2 fonts for math, and I've tried using the clues presentend in https://mailman.ntg.nl/ pipermail/ntg-context/2013/075938.html to install, but with no avail. Fonts were placed in "context/tex/texmf-local", preserving folder structure; "mtxrun --generate && mtxrun --script fonts --reload" was called after. When that didn't work, tried placing the type1 and tfm folders in my fonts folder (that is called by OSFONTDIR), and again, reload the fonts, but they just don't figure in the list provided by "mtxrun --script fonts --list --all --name --pattern=*". I have not found a way of using this font in ConTeXt, and I really need it (or will be just LaTeX for now). Thanks in advance. Thank you for your tips. I'm using Linux. } However, as I researched the matter, it seems to me is not a trivial task... these fonts were made with LaTeX/Plain TeX in mind. I don't even know how I would implement the font options (like mtpfrak, mtpcal, etc). The font comes with two versions: Type1 and TFM (no afm). I converted from Type1 to AFM using fontforge, and the fonts script detects the files.... but I have no idea how to use them. It seems it doesn't detect the fonts as part of a family... I don't even know where I could start to make this work. Maybe I will stick to LaTeX for the time being. Thank you for your time. Altering footnotes via \setupfootnotes

Hello, are there keys to \setupfootnotes to: - increase vertical space between two footnotes, - enable indenting paragraphs in the scope of footnotes? I tried some keys following wiki but with no success... Is there a way? Thank you in advance. Best regards, Lukas

Manually scaling math fences

Hi Hans, There are instances where the automatic scaling provided by \left and \right is not ideal and one has to use manual scaling. For example: \starttext \startTEXpage \startformula \left\langle \sum_{i=1}^n A_i x_i \right\rangle \hbox{ vs. } \bigg\langle \sum_{i=1}^n A_i x_i \bigg\rangle \stopformula \stopTEXpage \stoptext Currently, math fences always default to using \left and \right, which can lead to undesirable results. For example: \definemathfence [MEAN] [angle] [command=yes, color=blue] \starttext \startTEXpage \startformula \MEAN{ \sum_{i = 1}^n A_i x_i } \hbox{ vs. } \bigg\langle \sum_{i=1}^n A_i x_i \bigg\rangle \stopformula \stopTEXpage \stoptext Could we add an option to \definefence that allows the user to select the delimiter scaling using a key (say, `delimiter`) so that \MEAN[delimiter=auto] expands to \left\langle .. \right\langle \MEAN[delimiter=] expands to \langle .. \rangle \MEAN[delimiter=big] expands to \big\langle ... \big\rangle \MEAN[delimiter=Big] expands to \Big\langle ... \Big\rangle \MEAN[delimiter=bigg] expands to \bigg\langle ... \bigg\rangle \MEAN[delimiter=Bigg] expands to \Bigg\langle ... \Bigg\rangle I am not sure whether `delimiter` is the best key. I think that `scale` may be better, but using `scale` for specifying the scaling of math delimiters will be inconsistent with how `scale` is used everywhere else. Presentations with ConTeXt

Hello everyone. I would like to know if there exists in ConTeXt some mechanism similar to LaTeX Beamer to make presentations showing each element step by step. In Beamer the \pause command is used and it is quite simple. Can I have something similar in ConTeXt, simple and easy to use? Thank you Manuel González
