Text overflowing on a figure included in a float

\blank shrinks when forced; why \blank[line,disable] and \blank[line]\blank[disable] are different?

Hello list, i'm trying to understand the \blank command. The following example leaves a blank line between the two lines of text. \showgrid \starttext A line.\par \blank[line] Another line.\par \stoptext When you add "force" to the blank, the vertical space between the two lines shrinks. You can also add "fixed", but nothing changes. \showgrid \starttext A line.\par \blank[line,force] Another line.\par \stoptext Wolfgang asked about this in 2015(https://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-cont ext(a)ntg.nl/msg77729.html) but i could not find any answer on the mailing list. The next doubt is about the "disable" option. In the following example, \blank[2*line] wins over \blank[line] because it's bigger, and you get a vertical space of 2 lines between the 2 lines of text. \showgrid \starttext A line.\par \blank[line]\blank[2*line] Another line.\par \stoptext Then add "disable" to the first blank to cancel the next one: \showgrid \starttext A line.\par \blank[line,disable]\blank[2*line] Another line.\par \stoptext I expected a vertical space of 1 line, instead there's none. Why? Wrong section space after placefigure with newcolumnsets

Hi, I am placing figures in a columnset. The next header (section, subsection...) following the figure has always missing vertical space. See the normal space after "One subsection" and "Four subsection" but reduced space after "Two subsection" and "Three subsection" in the example below. Tested with ConTeXt ver: 2018.04.04 and LuaTeX, Version 1.07.0. This seems to be the opposite problem as the one described recently in the thread "Bug in wrapped placefigure". Any solution or fix? MetaFun: Rotate picture without rotating labels

Saving Metafun Graphic for use outside ConTeXt

Dear Readers, I have been playing about with METAFUN over the last few days trying to get a feel for it. I was wondering if it is possible to save the graphics produced in a context document for use outside. On looking at the Metapost manual I see you can using the following commands save a graphic as an svg file. /outputformat := "svg"; / /outputtemplate := "test.svg";/ // I have tried adding this to some MPcode in a ConteXt document but these lines seem to be ignored since no svg file is produced apart from the usual ConTeXt files. Is this expected behaviour? I have been able to get svg files using mpost on the command line. Circled text in metapost

texdoc in ConTeXt standalone

Dear list, I'm sure you aware of the very useful "texdoc" command line utility in TeX live which brings up the PDF documentation for packages. ConTeXt standalone also comes with documentation in /opt/context/tex/texmf-context/doc/context However, I find it tedious to always search for the correct subfolder to get to the document I need. It would be great if there was something like mtxrun --script doc metafun which would open the MetaFun manual. Similarly "mtxrun --script doc gnuplot" would open the manual of the gnuplot module, etc. See attached for my shitty prototype. Cheers, Henri
