I tried to determine the existence of a file on the internet. See the following macro call: % Test if file exists. \edef\theurl{\linkprotocol://\urlbase\xmlatt{#1}{link}\thesuffix} \doiffileelse {\theurl} {\verbose{HVDM-PEV-TEST}{file exists: \theurl}} {\verbose{HVDM-PEV-TEST}{file does not exist: \theurl}} It seems that \doiffileelse always results in true except for local files where nonexistence is correctly handled. For example the following url definitely does not exist but nevertheless \doiffileelse reports its existence: HVDM-PEV-TEST > file exists: http://hansvandermeer.myqnapcloud.com/archive/denhaag/hga-dtb-1869-6040.pdf Is it possible that the \doiffile macros are extended for files on the internet or a correponding set \doifurl is developed? And, by the way, there is no reasonable way to convert from, say, PDF/A-2b to PDF/A-2a without a rediculous amount of AI or manual input because the tagging cannot be created out of the blue. luatex hangs with \placebookmarks

Dear list, I use $ context --version mtx-context | ConTeXt Process Management 1.02 mtx-context | current version: 2018.04.19 15:53 With this simple attached MWE, I have luatex hanging in run 3. No idea what I am doing wrong. In other cases I get a lua error (could not write a MWE yet that reproduces this) : lua error > lua error on line 0 in file : ...est/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/mkiv/lpdf-ano.lua:292: attempt to index a nil value Thanks a lot Best regards Joseph

embolden a font

Is there anywhere an option to get an embolden effect as with the following pdf literal? packslashes not working in latest beta

Dear list, I have the following sample: \enabledirectives[hyphenators.urls.packslashes] \starttext \hsize\zeropoint \hyphenatedurl{http://www.pragma-ade.com} \stoptext Using latest beta (2018.04.19 15:53), the directive doesn’t seem to work. blank line at the beginning of the theorem or proof

Dear all, placing a figure at the right or left of the text using \placefigure[right][]{}{} insert at the begining of the paragraph under the enumerations while there is no blank line if we comment out \placefigure. See the below sample. Is there a way to make text begin from the same line of “Theorem 1” with the figure at the right? Thank you. registers: how can I place a command around the whole of the page numbers of an index term?

Hello list, i'd like moving the page numbers in my index to the right, with a \wordright. \setupregister[index][n=1,alternative=A] \starttext \CONTEXT\index{\ConTeXt} \page \LATEX\index{\LaTeX} \page \CONTEXT\index{\ConTeXt} \page \placeindex \stoptext The index is at page 4. I want to move the numbers "1,3" and "2" to the right. The parameter pagecommand is for the single page number, i want to put a command (\wordright) around the whole block of page numbers. Vertical alignment in tabulate

Hi, is it possible to specify a verticall alignment for a cell contents in the tabulate environment?
