University of Twente mirror down

Hi ConTeXt fans, Due to maintainance, the University of Twente mirror was brought down. The whole machine will be upgraded to apache 2.0.43 and the latest linux stuff. All hardware will be upgraded, and the new machine setup will be more fault-tolerant, since it is a clustered linux solution. I will try to bring it up before christmas, and since my boss encouraged me not to make any more hours this year for the University, I am pretty confident it will work.... update swedish in lang-ger.tex?

Hi there! I also have some questions: 1) When I want to load swedish (so I get Innehållsförteckning instead of Contents and so on), how do I do? I read the manaual, but I didn't really understood how to do. I have tried this: * run texexec --lang sv en and then * \language[sv] in the file * \installlanguage[sv] But no luck. 2) Is there a way to make multiple pdf files output from one file. Say, I want to get one pdf for every page I have. (The reason I want this, is that I want to typeset some pictures in ConTeXt and then include them in my LaTeX project. I don't want to "convert" my LaTeX project (about 200 pages) into ConTeXt) So, what I want is something like: \starttext \startpdfpage[picture1] Stuff that will appear in picture1.pdf \stoppdfpage \startpdfpage[picture2] Stuff that will appear in picture2.pdf \stoppdfpage . . . \stoptext =========== Since this is my first post, I would also like to thank you for making ConTeXt available for free. Problem with figuretext in recent betas

I have encountered a problem while compiling a document with figuretext; I have attached a small example that demonstrates the problem, and its accompanying log file. The problem occurs in the current beta: 2002.12.17, and the beta from 2002.12.01. The problem does not occur in the beta from 2002.10.23. Though it's only a minor annoyance, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Michael

UTF8 problems with Hangul Syllables

Here is my comment and question on the new feature of ConTeXt supporting the UTF8 encoding. Actually I tried to test the following short ConTeXt document containing two Korean characters. At the second line I used the Bitstream Cyberbit font and the corresponding TFM files were generated by ttf2tfm with Unicode.sfd (the same way as the UTF8 support in CJK-LaTeX). \enableregime [utf] \definefontsynonym [UnicodeRegular] [cyberb] \chardef\utfunihashmode=1 \starttext ^^eb^^bf^^a1 ^^ec^^80^^80 \stoptext Here, ^^eb^^bf^^a1 = U+BFE1 and ^^ec^^80^^80 = U+C000. 1. Without the third line (\chardef\utfunihashmode=1), I could not see any characters. Why? 2. After enabling \utfunihashmode, I could see the first character. But not the second character. The difference was that the value of \unidiv were 191 for the first character and 192 for the second character. In fact, all characters with \unidiv >= 192 and \unidiv <= 223 (from U+C000 to U+DFFF; half of Hangul Syllables) were not shown correctly. Why? Anyway, it is now possible to get a PDF file containing several different languages with ConTeXt + dvipdfmx. Furthermore, the texts in the PDF file can be searched and extracted. Bookmarks and text annotations too! DocBookInConTeXt customization?

Hi! I'm interested how one can customize output when using DocBookInConTeXt module? With XSL DocBook stylesheets, one can pass certain parameters or build his own customization layer on the stylesheets, and thereby customize output. In README file it is stated: "The mapping translates the XML file internally to a context ..", so I'm interested (pls. excuse me if it's a stupid question) is it possible to just convert DocBook input file into ConTeXt format or/and how isone supposed to tailor output according to his/her preferences? Total sectioning number

Is there any mode to get the total number of chapters (or sections inside a chapter etc) as a counter, ie \newcount\TotalChapterCount \TotalChapterCount=..... ? (I need this to make some operations with \textwidth and other dimensions) thanks

Bib bug

The citations in my latest document show [56] for the number of the reference. This happens to be the number of documents in my bib file. The relevant commands in my various sources are:- \usemodule[bib] \setupbibtex[database=/Users/nigelk/Library/texmf/tex/context/Nigel] \setuppublications [alternative=apa] \def\refwithbrackets#1{[#1]\quad} \setuppublications [numbering=yes,% refcommand=num,% numbercommand=\refwithbrackets,% sorttype=cite,% criterium=used,% autohang=yes,% align=right] \setuppublicationlist [after={\blank[medium]},% strut=yes,% offset=0pt] And in the document \cite[abc:01] And \placepublications The bib file is a standard old style bib file generated by bibdesk Is there something that I have done wrong? Reference + footnote = bug

... and a rather odd bug, too! \setupinteraction[state=start] \starttext Some text \goto{text with footnote\footnote{here it is} showing the bug}[hook] \page[yes] Some text \reference[hook] referenced from before. \stoptext See how the word "footnote" is superscripted ... it's an odd bug indeed, and it almost seems the footnote can detect the previous word ... -- Giuseppe "Oblomov" Bilotta

\placecontent

Hi everybody, I am struggling.... Previously it was possible to place a toc with the command \placecontent within a block. Currently I am using: ConTeXt ver: 2002.12.2 fmt: 2002.12.9 int: english mes: english With the above mentioned version there is only a toc if placed outside the block. - Is there something changed or broken?
