metafun not working

Hi, i did as suggested. The Mp.tex is rendering grpahics perfectly. but the pstoedit 3.40 seems to be having problems. it crashes while doing the convertion. However when I change the text "MP" to "MPOOOOL", it crashes with the same error. but the pdf output contains only "MPOOOO" with the last 'o'totally filled with gray circle and 'L' is missing. I did another example of the mmakempy manual of '\input zapf' for outline paragraph. It stops after converting the word 'coming' and nothing at all. what could be the problem. I am using gsview4.7 and gs8.51 with pstoedit3.4 in winXP. The old version 3.31 tried, but failed. I am able to get pstoedit3.33 on serach. Fonts in Metapost

Hello, I have problems with changeing the font in Metapost. I defined my own typescripts somewhere and I also have a mapfile for that fonts. In normal text it workes fine (even math). Now I want to change the font in MP as well (my text is included as label("test",(200,200));): %normal stups: \loadmapfile[cmbright.map] %it seems that the mapfile is loaded only once \usetypescriptfile[type-cmbr] \usetypescript[Cmbr] \setupbodyfont[12pt] \startMPenvironment \loadmapfile[cmbright.map] %it seems that the mapfile is loaded only once \usetypescriptfile[type-cmbr] \usetypescript[Cmbr] \setupbodyfont[12pt] \stopMPenvironment But I always get the standard CMR output. Did I miss a step somewhere? Has anyone an idea what's going wrong? Thanks for any help! Wolfgang

Chart module problem.

strange behaviour with \scale

Strange ... can't find mp.pool

context on miktex update not working

I had recently updated miktex including the context. After update the context fails to work. The kpsewhich was old as suggested by Mr.Hans Hagen and replaced it with new one provided by him. but still not working. I am attaching error file as generated by DOS. I am using miktex + win Edt in winXP. does other miktex updaters also have same error. IF not why in my update.
