I want to put to some paragraphs, each as framed text, on one line. Such as: \startframedtext[width=...] para 1 \startitemize ....etc \stopframedtext \startframedtext[width=...] para 2 \startitemize ....etc \stopframedtext I tried some things but the two frames will not come out on one line. Right-to-left typesetting in Farsi for Context.

First I ask the question: is Context the right tool for rtl typesetting of e.g, Farsi? Second I would like a reference to the pertinent Context manual or module for such typesetting. Hi all, Assume that I have a document with more than one page for \completecontent and \completelistoffigures. \inmargin footnotes

Dear all, When I put a footnote reference within \inmargin \setupinmargin[style=\tfxx\setupinterlinespace] he sent one of his followers to the man of God to put out his rekindled fire \inmargin{This is a reference to the \italic{tellach} \footnote{Cf.\ Fergus Kelly, \slanted{A Guide to Early Irish Law}, 68.} procedure for laying claim to land.} and ordered him to be expelled from the territory. When the footnote is typeset the footnote number is placed beneath the first line of the footnote text. What can I do to have the footnote number in its normal position? Thanks, Charlie

i-Installer / minimal TeX installation for ConTeXt?

Greetings all, By and by I've found that I am only using ConTeXt for my typesetting needs. I am curious as to whether someone can advise me how best to install a suitable yet minimal TeX installation: without LaTeX, etc. I am currently using Gerben's very helpful i-Installer. Perhaps it would vary too much between users to say definitively? In any case, Thanks very much David

Struggling with ttf on Windows XP

Hello, I recently upgraded my 3-year old installation of MikTex to the latest version. I had a document which contained glyphs from the windings.tff font. Once I upgraded, this didn't work anymore. So I tried to read around to find out how it works, and so on, but couldn't find anything... I have generated an afm and tfm files from the ttf font. I created a map file which references this. My tex file apparently loads the map file without problem (at least pdftex doesn't complain). But, when I call \showfont, the generated table is empty, it doesn't contain any symbol. (I'm at work right now, so I can't post any code snippet) Does anyone have any clue or could anyone point me to any resource to guide me? Thanks, Best regards, Frederic

Problem with \placefigure

The following test file gives a good result with old ConteXt but gives an error with new ConteXt It seems that new ConteXt does not accept [center] What is the problem ?
