Strange behaviour of \dorechecknextindentation inside float

Hi, Right now, indentnext key is ignored for floats. I was trying to test how to do it, but something strange is happening. I thought that the following two are equivalent: \def\sometopfloat [#1]{\someelsefloat[#1]} \placefigure[top]{top}{} \nonoindentation\autoindentation\dorechecknextindentation and \def\sometopfloat[#1]% {\someelsefloat[#1]% \nonoindentation\autoindentation\dorechecknextindentation} \placefigure[top]{top}{} The first one works fine, but the second does not. Can anyone explain what is going on here. ConTeXt ver: 2007.01.12 15:56 and including PDFs

While running the latest ConTeXt, I get the following warning: [6.6] [7.7] ./Figure1a.pdf Error: PDF version 1.6 -- xpdf supports version 1.5 (continuing anyway) Warning: pdftex (file ./Figure1a.pdf): pdf inclusion: found pdf version <1.6>, but at most version <1.5> allowed <./Figure1a.pdf> It does not seem to have any observable impact on the typeset product however. Bibtex: empty reference and reference-title / -data

Hi, maybe this is a stupid question, but I am "deadlocked" in this case. In the text I always getting an empty reference «()» and the listOfReferences has no title and looks also a little bit discontenting: 3 (2001). Hi, sometimes – just before the printer heats up his machine – there is something important too add, but yet the footnote-numbering can't be changed anymore (see example below please): \starttext First sentence.\footnote{First footnote} Something added\footnote[-]{In-between footnote}. Second sentence.\footnote{Second footnote} \stoptext Do you know a reliable way to make footnote "In-between footnote" labeled "1a" (in text and page end)? Steffen

hyphenation, paragraphs

Hi all, I have an appendix consisting of a long list of genetic defects, containing e.g. a number, the name of a disease, and the enzymes concerned. I tried to set that up as paragraphs: \defineparagraphs [mypar][n=3,before={\blank},after={\blank}] \setupparagraphs [mypar][1][width=.1\textwidth] \setupparagraphs [mypar][2][width=.3\textwidth] and \defineparagraphs [Two][n=2,distance=0.5cm] % tolerance= at this point? didn't make a difference \setupparagraphs [Two][1][width=.3\textwidth] % tolerance= at this point? didn't make a difference 2 pages of the outcome are shown on "www.ogbasel.ch/ appendix.pdf" (61KB). Do some words overlap, because ConTeXt doesn't know where to hyphenate funny words? (But Doli-chol, not a common word really, is hyphenated correctly). Or can it be corrected with "tolerance"? (I couldn't). Besides playing with tolerance, I tried: 1. Writing a hyphenation file containing: \hyphenation{Acyl-CoA-De-hy- dro-ge-nase} etc., then: \input FunnyHyphens.tex \starttext \input appendix \stoptext No effect. 2. Writing the unfamiliar words in the appendix with ||, |-|, or |\-| where hyphens might be placed. The latter introduces brakes, but without hyphens. the other two insert hyphens everywhere. It seems that I misunderstood what I dug out of the archives. Could somebody enlighten me? Thanks, Jörg.

How to set page background?

Hi there, I know there is a command \setupbackgrounds[page][background=???], and I can use \defineoverlay[page][\useMPgraphic{page}], then use MetaPost to draw the page background. But I also use something like \setuppapersize[A7][A3] to compose the output, and it seems that the \setupbackgrounds command only affect on A7 sub-paper. I also noticed a command \setuplayout[marking=color]that really acts on the A3 paper rather than the subpaper. So I think there should be such a macro that handles the whole page's background. Can anyone tell me about it? TikZ for standalone ConTeXt

Hello, Since some people asked about how to "install" TikZ on standalone ConTeXt, here's a zip: http://modules.contextgarden.net/TikZ There is one little problem I experienced while testing though. xkeyval is located under tex/latex/, so it's not found by ConTeXt (at least not with the default settings of standalone). Suggestions? Should xkeyval be moved to /tex/context/xkeyval? Please let me know if you have any problems with it. Mojca (PS: I uploaded the version 1.10. Later on better support for XeTeX was added, perhaps some other issues were solved as well. I will probably try to fetch it from cvs one day, but if anyone needs newer version(s) sooner, let me know.)

gnuplot & ConTeXt

Hello, I've put the gnuplot binary for windows on http://modules.contextgarden.net/gnuplot-win, just in case that anyone is interested (Firefox has problems displaying that page, but I didn't figure out whether the problem lies in the garden, firefox or on my computer). Some functionality and documentation is still missing, but the interface should be stable now. If anyone would like to suggest what the default settings for some options should be, feel free to comment. I'm not sure if the current settings are all sensinble and there might still be time to change some. Gnuplot 4.2 will probably be released very soon. The context terminal might have chances to be included in the "patchset 1", but the developers are reluctant to include it without any feedback from other users. Even a few comments like "it works for me" on http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1654807&group_id=2… or on the mailing list would probably help. There are known limitations (like "memory limit exceeded"), unimplemented features, but also bugs. So please report/email any bugs to me as soon as you find them. Mojca

Dear Hans, I got the same problem with new ConTeXt update. ! Font \*12ptrmtfrm*=[ec-lmr12] not loadable: Metric (TFM) file or installed fo nt not found. <to be read again> \relax \xxdododefinefont ...tspec {#4}\newfontidentifier \let \localrelativefontsiz... \fontstrategy ...ame #1\csname #2#3#4#5\endcsname ....... and there are map files of lm in the folder /fonts/map/dvipdfmx/ context/.
