How to use utopia font?

hello all, I'm new with ConTeXt even if I know some TeX and LaTeX already. Here is my question: I would like to use utopia (with expert fonts) as my default rm. I've got all the files required for a LaTeX usage (with fourier.sty) and it works ok. I have found some fourier.map and fourier-utopia-expert.map in my TeXlive under /texmf-dist/fonts/map/dvipdfm/context and /texmf-dist/fonts/map/fourier/. I've tried what I've understood of the manuals but I can't figure out how to call correctly the font. Any hint will be appreciated. Thanks to all -- Yvon Henel

ppchtex german language compiling problems

Hi there, I'm new to ConTeXt and found out how nice it is to construct coverpages. So it would be nice to have an opportunity to include the whole procedure into an LaTeXe environment. As far as I already read up to now there is now possibility. But today I think I found a bug in the german version of ppchtex. I used the following little script to set an example formula. What's the ps_name of AdobeMingStd-Light?

Hi, I searched the mail list for a while and I got that if I didn't specify the font file, it will not be embeded and Acrobat Reader will just use its own fonts to show the characters. I want to make some Chinese documents and I think if I don't embed any fonts, it will be much smaller than it used to be. And there is a cool font AdobeMingStd-Light.otf coming along with Acrobat Reader so I wish I can use it. I converted it to ttf and then tfm files (I don't know whether it is legal) and write the map file like: ================================ uni-AdobeMingStd-Light-00 "Adobe Ming Std" " Unicode00Encoding ReEncodeFont " <uni-00.enc ================================ I think the first column is for the tfm files, and I do get the uni-AdobeMingStd-Light-00.tfm to uni-AdobeMingStd-Light-ff.tfm files. And the second column is for the PS name of the font. I really don't know how to write it because it has spaces in it, and when I replaced it with another PS name that has no spaces or other special characters in it, say SimSun as a common Simplified Chinese font in Windows, it worked fine. [important] ConTeXt Meeting: call for talks & participants

Hello, I will send a more elaborate mail shortly (with a longer explanation), but to put it into a few words, I need to know: a) a rough estimate of the number of people who are planning to come to Bohinj from 20th-25th August b) [REALLY IMPORTANT] some preliminary talks held by people with any kind of academic references For a), I will put a web form online within a few days (so no hurry until then) For b), I would like to ask people (apart from Hans and Taco, who will get another mail) who have any kind of academic references (being a professor, having some reasonable citation index, obtaining any kind of grants (Idris?), being editor of any journals, being a Nobel laureate :) or whatever else) and are planning to come, to drop me a private mail. I will try to apply for funding (for organisation of scientific meeting) to lower the fee. The chances to get that funding is low, but still worth trying, and the number & quality of foreign speakers is one of criteria to be able to get the funding. The meeting will last for 5 days (4 full days, 5 times sleeping there), the fee most probably won't exceed 200 EUR (including accomodation, food, conference materials and at least one half-day or full-day excursion), and there are 4 low-cost airports around (*Ljubljana - Easyjet & Wizzair, Maribor, Trieste, Klagenfurt). Visualization module and mkiv

Hi, the visualization module did at the moment not work in mkiv, the fault is the unbalanced \start/stopcolor command in the definition of \fakerule.
