Miktex still broken

All, The context in Miktex is still broken. Has anyone got experience installing the standalone version of context on windows alongside Miktex? And one specific question, will the mptopdf command work in this dual installation? Thanks. inframed : makes a newline

Hello When I use a inframed command at the start of a line it doesn't allow to be continued by text : ****************************************************** \starttext blabla \inframed{essai} blabla \inframed{essai} blabla \stoptext ****************************************************** gives ------------------ blabla framed{essai} blabla framed{essai} blabla ------------------ I expected ------------------ blabla framed{essai} blabla framed{essai} blabla ------------------ Is it anything to do ?

Line under footer

Hi there! I managed to draw a line under my footer (with the help of this mailing list, of course ;) ), but how can I change its thickness? This doesn't seem to work: \setupbackgrounds[footer][text][frame=off, bottomframe=on, height=0pt, depth=3pt] Same effect with this one: \setupbackgrounds[footer][text][frame=off, bottomframe=on, height=3pt] Regards, Eyke

Place for exercises and solutions

Dear Sirs, I'm writing a chemical book and I want include some exercises in the end of each chapter. In the source file the solutions are placed after the related exercise. In the .pdf file the exercises should be located at end of each chapter, but the solutions should appear in the end of the book. Did anybody has a similar implementation? Non-printable Unicode control characters

Unicode has many "control characters" that only control text behaviour and shouldn't be rendered visually in the text, such as Bidi_Control and Join_Control chars (see http://www.unicode.org/Public/5.1.0/ucd/PropList.txt and http://unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/UCD.html) Currently, ConTeXt handles ZWJ and ZWNJ, but other characters get rendered if the font has glyphs for them or make no effect at all if the font has no glyphs for them. I think that the optimum behaviour is to make those characters affect text formatting while not visually rendered whether the font has glyphs for them or not. Some Arabic ligatures get rendered twice

Some Arabic ligatures get rendered twice, I think this happens when a ligature can be divided into subligatures, say ABC ligature where the font has an AB ligature, in this case A+B+C get rendered as ABC+AB. Enabling character mirroring without enabling "implicit bidi"

Currently, \enablecharactermirroring[1] also enables "implicit bidi", but, unfortunately, current ConTeXt bidi implementation isn't very useful. I know this is work in progress, but I like to be able to have simple character mirroring i.e. \textdir TRT will mirror all brackets as it currently make any text RTL.
