Hi, the \definelabel command does not work any more in the latest betas. Here's a minimal document: \definelabel[SlideNumber][headstyle=normal,way=bytext] \starttext \incrementSlideNumber \nextSlideNumber \stoptext Works fine with the older version I have here 2009.03.30 18:28 and fails with the latest beta: ! Undefined control sequence. l.5 \incrementSlideNumber \nextSlideNumber All best Thomas

Font features

Hello, I also have a question about font features. Minion Pro has old style numerals. How to display them, provided that I enabled this feature? Hi, as already mentioned there is a problem with PDF layer... or with the way I use them. This is an old example, so it's maybe outdated. upcoming conference

Dear TeX user, The upcoming EuroTeX 2009 takes place from August 31 till September 4 in Den Haag in The Netherlands. In parallel we will run the third ConTeXt conference. We already have some 25 talks and tutorials submitted but we need a few more as we run a parallel program. If you are willing to present a paper or tutorial, please let us know. The theme of the conference is "Educational Uses of TeX" but of course other TeX and MetaPost related topics will be covered as well. Depending on the amount of contributions we will program them in blocks that cover general topics but we will also cluster talks and turorials specific to macro packages in an additional program. You can send your proposal(s) to eurotex(a)ntg.nl. Registration for the conference closes at July 1, 2009. problem with quotation marks

Hi all, the following minimal example demonstrates a problem with closing quotation marks (both mkii and mkiv): \setuplayout[width=3cm] \starttext \quotation{This is a \quote{test.}} \stoptext ConTeXt breaks a line between ' and ". This shouldn't happen. All best Thomas

MKIV, fonts, confusion

Hi ntg-context. I'm very confused about accomplishing something that to me seems as though it should be quite simple, but has proven for weeks of occasional attempts to be very confusing. I'm finding existing information from the contextgarden wiki and ntg-context archives to be very newbie-unfriendly and inconsistent. I'm compelled to improve the wiki, if only I could comprehend what I would be documenting. What I would like to do is use the full range of TeX-Gyre fonts (and later possibly others) for my existing documents. It is not clear to me... Whether or not I am using MKIV, nor how to determine which engine I am running. If not running MKIV/XeTeX, how to determine which fonts are installed. What the items from the output of "fc-list" or "mtxrun --script fonts --list" correspond to. How to use available fonts, nor where to draw valid parameters from for use in font commands. How to determine what font configurations are available for a given font. Whether I need to write typescripts, nor how to find any existing ones. Whether I need to concern myself with .map or any other font files. Whether I need to configure anything, move any files, etcetera. ...As well as anything else I might need to install or use a font For what it's worth, I have been using the command "texexec" to process my tex files, am using a context minimals downloaded about two months ago, and am running Linux.

Hello, I am using Context Mark II + XeTeX. I would like to know the following things. 1. How to use opentype font features. I tried the following code but it is not working. \definefontfeature[myfontfea][+onum] \definetypeface[Libertine][rm][Xserif][Linux Libertine O][default][features=myfontfea] \setupbodyfont[Libertine,12pt] 2. Is there an eqivalent code to the following XeLaTeX code. \defaultfontfeatures{Scale=MatchLowercase} 3. How to use Cambria Math font to typeset math.

Dear all, Updating context (linux-64) gives: texlua: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.8' not found (required by texlua) The 32bit version works fine with glibc2.6. Regards, Bernard

beta (12.05.2009, 22:36): footnote marker and overprinting

Hi, just in case this slipped someone's mind :) I still get an error about an undefined control sequence (\PDFobjectreferenceB) and the footnote marker (star) is not moved with the footnote (\moveright). The attached example code (with overprinting) breaks with the mentioned error. The attached picture shows the problem with the separated footnote marker. It can be created with the other versions (without overprinting) of the \NoteNumber and \MyFootnote macros.
