how to make a coverpage?

Hi, I'm experimenting with context for a few weeks now and am impressed by its possibilities and clean results. However, everything I want to try out seems to take a lot of trial and error to get right. Especially creating a titlepage for a book, a backgound picture covering the entire page with some text on it -- I cannot for the life of me figure out how it's done. Even after googling many hours and perusing the manuals. I've tried permutations of layers, overlays and setupbackgrounds within and without {start/stop}standardmakeup -- nothing quite does it. Can somebody please show me a simple example of how to create a book cover with a picture covering the entire page and a title text on it? Thanks in advance, Trychius

Hi @all, how can I alter the vertical space between two description items? beta with changed messages approach

hi, I uploaded a beta where all messages are now collectex in mult-mes.lua which makes it easier to translate them (for instance to persian which is still missing). Group together figure and table

I am trying to find a way to group together a table which lists values in a figure that I have. I would also like to keep seperate references for each so I would rather not use a combination. I saw the \begingroup command while searching through the wiki, but I was unable to determine what it does and it doesn't seem to do what I need. I also tried to setup a buffer, but that didn't ensure that the table and figure were displayed sequentially. Is there a way to do this while keeping both references intact? Thanks. Mike

Arabic protrosion

Setting the Non-Printable Area

Hi @all, i like to include a logo on the top-right-edge on every page in my Document. The pagesize is A4, but our printer could not print into the first 5mm from the borders. Now the Logo get's cut on the top and on the right side while printing. I defined my layout like this: -----8<--------schnipp----- \setuppapersize[A4][A4] \setuplayout[backspace=20mm, width=160mm, topspace=20mm, top=0mm, header=0mm, footer=0mm, height=250mm, grid=yes] -----8<--------schnapp----- ... and placed the logo like this: -----8<--------schnipp----- \definelogo [imko logo] [top] [rightedge] [command=\IMKOLogo,state=start] -----8<--------schnapp----- So how can I define the non-printable area of my A4 paper, so the logo doesn't get cut. - Markus -- -------------------"it's like this"------ even samurai have teddy bears and even teddy bears get drunk

I would prefer being able to say "svn commit" or "git commit" instead of trying to figure out how to submit the module to the server each and every time (and then most of the time manually fixing zips on the server after screwing up the upload). We definitely need a better user interface, but if you manage to figure out how to set up some (git/svn/whatever) repositories, that would be much better in the long term. New modules are rare enough, so that even if you/we need to delegate repository rights manually upon request, that should be no problem. Mojca
