I use > \useattachment[auto][example_show][sample.data][./sample.data] > \attachment[auto] to attach my sample data to pdf, but as this data need open by specific script. Are there any way to open the attached sample.data with my script when viewer click on it. or else I have to let them download the script and change the preference application to open it. BR Bill

Is the lack of repeating footers in natural tables due to implementation difficulties well beyond that for repeating headers or is the feature considered inappropriate typography? -- david

transparent colors in latest beta

Hi Hans, the bad news is that transparent colors don't work at all in the latest beta with mkiv (they worked on and off with the beta before that). mkiv document size shrinks (nice)

Hello, Files produced by the latest beta have smaller size then those compiled at the beginning of the year. For example, typical lyrics documents shrinked from ~20Kb to ~14Kb each. It's nice. I just wonder -- is it connected with font subsets embedding ? Best, Vyatcheslav

TeXLive 2008 + ConTeXt problems (on Gentoo Linux)

Hullo, it's been a while since I used ConTeXt (I simply didn't have to write any documents), but now that I upgraded to TeXLive 2008 I noticed that ConTeXt is giving me gripes. 'context test.tex' produces: MtxRun | error unable to identify cnf file MtxRun | error unable to identify cnf file MtxRun | no cnf files found (TEXMFCNF may not be set/known) MtxRun | unknown script: context 'texexec test.tex' actually produces a PDF. 'luatex test.tex' starts asking questions: This is LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.30.3-2009041418 (Web2C 7.5.7) (test.tex ! Undefined control sequence. l.1 \starttext ? ...and later on produces a completely messed up PDF 'luatools --generate' produces: LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file LuaTools | no cnf files found (TEXMFCNF may not be set/known) LuaTools | LuaTools | runtime: 0.046 seconds I'm sure there's a step I missed in the upgrade, but I have no idea what. I've already tried a few things from the Wiki, which I think resulted in 'texexec' actually working, but the rest is still foo. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Table macro alternatives

Is alignmentcharacter available in table macros other than natural tables? I would prefer to use natural tables but absolutely require a footer at the bottom of the table on every page. The footer doesn't need to contain columns - it can be a box the width of the table. Any suggestions on achieving this using natural tables? -- david

What am I doing wrong? Also, \SetTableToWidth{.67\pagewidth} produces an error. Is there a way to specify a fraction of \pagewidth? Even though this example is short, the table may run to multiple pages and I need both headers and footers to repeat. I also need to eventually shade alternate row backgrounds. Is there a better table macro choice? -- david
