Among these articles are ones that describe tools and techniques that can be used in teaching. The PracTeX Journal 2010-1 issue has the theme "LaTeX Academic Work Bench". The goal of this issue is to present ideas on the use of LaTeX tools for education, teaching, and classroom purposes. We are looking for articles that can discuss the development of the tools, and their use and effectiveness. Actual examples and LaTeX sources are encouraged. ** Scope The scope of the issue includes, but is not limited to : - tools that assist the students/authors in preparing graphics, indexes, bibliographies, and other parts of documents; - text manipulation tools; - tutorials; - short videos; - free or almost free tools; - teaching texts; - homework styles; - cross-platform tools. Math Alignment - start equation at left margin

Hi, Can someone please help with the alignment of the equation so that it starts at left. I tried flushleft and other options (such as without \NC \NR, with align=left etc.). None of them result in the equation starting at the left margin. The equation is either placed in the middle or is aligned to the right. I want it to start at the left. Metapost label - Truncating digits after decimal point

Hi, Is it possible to truncate the digits after decimal point in Metapost when using textext()? Please see the minimal example below which produces 1.84375. Can I just keep the first digit and have it produce 1.8 ? info on fonts in MKIV

Hello, after running mtxrun --script fonts --list --info --pattern=heros* I get only the following line: texgyreherosbold texgyreherosbold texgyreheros-bold.otf I would expect more heros-fonts and also info on the features in the fonts. What am I missing? KR Willi
