missing metafun graphics in mkii

Hello, Does anyone else experience problems using metafun graphics in mkii? Did I miss some runwhatevertrue switch somewhere? Are the stubs in minimals incompatible in some way? At least live.contextgarden.net seems to suffer as well. Minimal example: \startMPcode draw fullcircle scaled 3cm; \stopMPcode If I run the code with some older ConTeXt then the code starts working again with a recent ConTeXt, but recent ConTeXt doesn't generate the jobname-mpgraph.1 file at all. Once compiling the document with an older version, the file is generated and it starts working again. But this behaviour breaks my module :( Thanks, Mojca

Hello, could you anybody confirm that following code causes fatal error in mkiv and not in mkii? I use minimals from 2009/12/17 in linux 64bit. Some question regarding Layers

Hi all, i have two questions regarding the use of layers. -- Is there an easy way to position a layer in the middle of the page. My intent is to position some kind of graphic/picture there. I usually try to wrap the picture in a "hbox to \paperwidth {\hfil \externalfigure{} \hfil} and then wrapping the hbox in a vbox -- Is there a better way to achieve this? -- How to do that with layers? -- Is it possible to define and position layers in one Macro. I have something like the following in mind (untested): \define[1]\MLayer{ \definelayer[#1] \setlayer[#1][state=start]{\externalfigure[#1]} } My experience so far is, that it's necessary for a layer to appear that it is listed in "pagebackgrounds" ist this true? With this it seems, that a macro like that above is impossible, true? thanks in advance for your help Erik

file name resolving for lua files

Hi, I have noticed that my local context update scripts were not always working correctly. In particular, the mtxrun and luatools file never got updated. The reason is the following. When I run mtxrun --selfupdate I get mtxrun --selfupdate MTXrun | fileio: to be replaced old script /opt/experimental/tex/texmf-linux-64/bin/mtxrun MTXrun | fileio: using suffix based filetype 'texmfscripts' MTXrun | fileio: checking new script /opt/experimental/tex/texmf-context/scripts/context/stubs/mswin/mtxrun.lua MTXrun | fileio: new script should come from scripts/context/lua So, mtxrun is trying to replace mtxrun from the stubs directory. In fact, if I get the same result from luatools --locate mtxrun.lua /opt/experimental/tex/texmf-context/scripts/context/stubs/mswin/mtxrun.lua Something is wrong with the search logic as texmfstart also gets this wrong. texmfstart --locate mtxrun.lua /opt/experimental/tex/texmf-context/scripts/context/stubs/mswin/mtxrun.lua% However, kpsewhich works correctly. kpsewhich mtxrun.lua /opt/experimental/tex/texmf-context/scripts/context/lua/mtxrun.lua Do others also get the same result? Any idea what is going wrong here? Aditya
