Wolfgang, Interesting. I was able to reproduce the problem with your verbatim minimal example: \starttext \input knuth \placefigure[left]{Cow}{\externalfigure[cow][frame=on, scale=500, orientation=90]} \input knuth \input knuth \stoptext I have uploaded the result here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rmbsrj The cow gets rotated but protrudes the frame at the top overlaying the text. Hi all, I am trying to rotate a figure on a page. I believe it should work as follows: \placefigure[left]{Some figure caption}{\externalfigure[some-figure-caption][orientation=90]} ...and the figure does indeed get rotated, but the bounding box appears to be incorrect. The figure ends up being far too small and actually overlays the text above it. I found a couple of posts on the mailing list from years ago regarding this, where people seemed to have related issues. Is there a solution to this? Should this work or am I doing something wrong? Enumerations: location=serried ignored

Hello, I noticed that the enumerations environment is behaving oddly when used for theorem environments. In the following minimal example, the option "location=serried" (which should result in an inline heading) is ignored. Furthermore, the number of corrolary is not displayed, instead of being shared with theorem. The general idea of this exaple is from [1] <http://www.ntg.nl/maps/36/09.pdf>. I've not managed to figure out on my own what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions are appreciated. Dear list, I have a question concerning nesting commands with optional arguments. I'm trying to put a command with an optional argument inside the optional argument of another one … For sure this is just a simple expansion problem but I have no clue how to handle this … Thanks for any hints! Dear Diane, Recently, I have seen a mail in which "location=" is changed to "alternative=" in mailing list. You will get what you want if you replace 'location' with 'alternative'. For the number of corollary, I have no idea. Experts in this list will tell you what to do. Best regards, Dalyoung

The following does not seem to work with the latest MKIV version: \startcomponent \startitemize \item A \item B \item C \stopitemize \stopcomponent The log file shows: ! Hi Hans, due to the size of my project I cannot send a minimal: but did you remove the TOC's ability to vertically stretch? I did not change any of my styles/environment, and with version 2012.03.13 now the TOC is not set flushbottom anymore. Do I have to add/change something now? Or was that a side-effect that is fixed with a more recent version? Best, Steffen

Apostrophes not converting to typographical curly apostrophes

I'm having difficulty getting straight 0x0027 apostrophes to convert into typographical single-quotes when using a given typescript. In the following example, \quote{single quotes} generates curly typographical single quotes, but the apostrophe comes out as a straight apostrophe in the PDF output: \usetypescriptfile[type-lemonde] \usetypescript[lemonde-1] \setupbodyfont[lemonde,ss,11pt] \starttext Why don't the apostrophes show up as \quotation{curly}? The \quote{single quotes} and \quotation{double quotes} are fine\ldots{} \stoptext The only way I can generate curly apostrophes is by placing 0x2019 characters into the source. However, when I comment out those first three lines, the output displays a curly apostrophe fine in the default font.
