With at least today’s and yesterday’s beta I can’t get no satisfaction WRT imposition. Before, only 2UP was broken, and I got a workaround. Now, every schema that I tried doesn’t do anything. Was there another syntax change? Hi, In the process of mkiv-ing a new beta has been uploaded. This time the rendering of sections has been dealt with. New is that one can use 'setups' for rendering. These fetch content: \headnumbercontent \headtextcontent These are dimensions: \headwidth \headtextwidth \headnumberdistance \headnumberwidth This is for local spacing setup: \headsetupspacing These are conditionals \headshownumber \headisdisplay Maybe these names will change. Setups are also used in constructions (the building blocks for descriptions, enumerations, notes etc) but there some more work is needed. The code is somewhat faster, but that will probably go unnoticed unless one has documents with hundreds of heads. Is the following a known issue with this beta? When a float block moves the error appears: ConTeXt ver: 2012.07.04 23:48 MKIV fmt: 2012.7.6 int: english/english floatblocks > 1 placed floatblocks > 1 saved pages > flushing realpage 5, userpage 1 floatblocks > 1 moved floatblocks > 2 moved ! Hi, I get mysterious error messages on blank lines or on lines that were completely innocuous a month ago. table of contents

Is there a simple manner to restrict the table of contents to chapter and section, excluding subsections, subsubsections? Now I use (and get all) \startfrontmatter% the table of contents \setuppagenumber[number=1,numberconversion=romannumerals] \completecontent \stopfrontmatter I tried \completecontent[criterium={chapter,section}] bat that doesn't work. Could not find it on the wiki, but I might have missed the right search term. Hans van der Meer

modes + arranging

Hi all, sorry for the slightly silly example, but it's something I can't figure out, and it has worked before. For processing my documents, I have defined a mode which will arrange pages. Here's the silly example test.tex: \startmode[arranged] \setuppapersize[A6][A4] \setuparranging[2*4] \stopmode \setuppagenumbering[state=stop] \starttext \dorecurse{8}{\null\vfill\centerline\recurselevel\vfill\null\page} \stoptext When I process this with context --mode=arranged test I get the expected output. When I process it with context --mode=arranged --arrange test the pages are NOT arranged. I need the --arrange switch for my data, and I don't understand what's going wrong here. Behavior is the same with current beta and a slightly older version (06.30). Thanks Thomas

Hi, In the next version, the \stretched command has been replaced by a new one using the character kerning feature. \hbox to 5cm{\stretched{to the limit}} \stretched{to the limit} \stretched[width=10cm]{to the limit} In addition one can set a style and color.
