setuphead and Table of Content

Hello everyone, I have defined my own set of heads with \setuphead like so, such that I can supply my own numbers: \definehead[foosection][section] \setuphead[foosection][number=yes, ownnumber=yes, sectionsegments=section] However, I need them to show up in the table of content. eliminate blank page.

OK I am trying to be a good boy and use \component instead of \input in MKIV but my problem persists. I have a file called title.tex which should be followed on the next page (title verso) by the file copy.tex. but a blank page occurs between the two. error calling font.getfont() on certain fonts

Hi all, I get an error when I run this code: \ctxlua{font.getfont( font.current() )} (Complete example below.) Oddly, whether or not this fails depends on the font. The issue does occur with both today’s beta and Tex Live. The error message is error: .../context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/node-inj.lua:97: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'factor' (a nil value) At the same time, in Plain the equivalent code works fine for all fonts. Bug or feature? I've looked through about five context documents and the wiki, but can't find any good usage documentation for the \setupnotation macro. I've found specific examples of use, but not a complete usage description such as below which explains what options are available. \setupnotation[...][...=...] I'd like read what parameters it covers.

I want to use just \dagger for the symbol, but any symbol would do. \definesymbol[4]{\dagger] \starttext \defineconversion[dagger][{\dagger},{\dagger}] % use a \dagger for the footnote. \setupfootnotes[conversion=set dagger,location=text] This is the dagger, \dagger{} I want to use for reference\footnote{Will the dagger appear}. A second line here for robustness.\footnote{It's a number still.} \stoptext -------------------------------- end of example Also I could find no explanations for what a set is, as in conversion=set 1 or 2 or 3 etc. What is set 1 or 2 or 3? Different Horizontal Lines with Tabulate

Hello, I have a table in which I have to group a number of rows together. Let's say I have a table with two columns, the first is an item ID and the second a multi-line description for that item. Say I have ten items in the table and I need to group Item 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 and so on. Due to the description being quite lengthy in some cases, I would like to use some sort of horizontal rule between items. It seems I have to following options: 1. Using horizontal rules of two different thicknesses (eg. thicker between groups and thinner between items within the same group) 2. Using horizontal rules of two different colour (eg. black between groups and a light grey between items within the same group) 3. Using horizontal rules of different lengths (that is, full length between groups and only in the second column between items within the same group) Are any of the above possible with tabulate? I could not find anything to achieve any of those. I am quite used to tabulate as my table framework, so I would prefer to use that. If that's not possible however, I'd be happy to use something else. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thank you, Malte.

A thinner hrule for headers

Hello everyone, I'd like to know if it is possible to get a thinner hrule in headers (mkiv). Right now I am using \setupheader[after=\hrule] replacing hrule with thinrule or hairline results in space below the header text and the line, and the line actually spans two lines. How can I control the thickness of the line, I remember having read something about using frames, but I can't find the post anymore. Thanks in advance, and regards, Thomas

Hi, The uploaded beta has marco's ugs fixed (minus one) plus some (less important) pending issues in test files. The main change is that the root setup commands of enumerations, notes, formulas, floats, etc can now be used to set up the counters (was only possible by explicit setups e.g. per float). \startpagefigure[]\stoppagefigure enlarges page by 1 mm

Hello, \startpagefigure[...] ... \stoppagefigure enlarges page by 1 mm in both directions. This is an undesired effect as when the printer has auto-select-page mode on (which is useful when printing a document with mixed A4 and A3 pages) and an A4 page (210 x 297 mm) is enlarged to 211 x 298, the printer doesn't (auto)choose A4 but a nearest BIGGER page (8.5 x 13 in page in my case). Try the code: ---- t.mkiv \starttext \startpagefigure[A4.pdf]\stoppagefigure \stoptext ---- Is that a wanted behavior? How to avoid enlarging the inserted page? TIA.
