Something’s wrong with my code. I’ll try to keep a status to output a certain marker only the first time after a change. With the code below I get it never. I guess it’s an expansion problem again, but I didn’t find the right places for \expanded – if I use it in front of every \getvariable, I get the output every time. Extra space in numbers

mtxrun error with script pattern

Dear List When using: mtxrun --script pattern --convert --path=./source --destination=./patterns with the file hyph-pt.tex v. 1.4 proposed by Leo Araujo and Aline Benevides, (see: https://github.com/hyphenation/tex-hyphen/pull/62/commits/79f4327c7c94c435c…) I got the following message: … mtx-patterns | converting language pt, file hyph-pt mtx-patterns | using tex file hyph-pt.txt lua error : function call: ...t/tex/texmf-context/scripts/context/lua/mtx-patterns.lua:331: bad argument #1 to 'for iterator' (table expected, got string) I tried also using the old version 1.3 and got the same message. How can this error be corrected? Context Journal: last call for articles / proofreaders wanted

Hi all, with the articles by Massimiliano and Willi, we have already more than 40 pages, more would be welcome, but please deliver within the next two weeks (until end of July)! I would appreciate the help of English native speakers for proofreading/editing, you could start immediately with the existing articles. I’m very sorry that I procrastinated for too long, so that we’re now in a hurry to get the journal printed in time for the meeting. Hraban

Quotation mark in drop caps

Hi list! I have a three-part question. First, when using \placeinitial, how would you detect whether the first character is a quotation mark, and, if so, override the setupinitial to use m=2? Second, when using m=2 to capture a quotation mark, how would you change the font size of only the quotation mark, leaving the font size for the remaining characters the same? Third, can this be accomplished using setupinitial alone?
