Dear List, Using the current version, it is now pretty straightforward to create PDFs that pass VeraPDF with PDF/UA-2. Canvas (which is commonly used in the US) has an accessibility checker: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/How-do-I-use-the-Acc… The file tagging-basic.pdf scores 40% accessibility, with three complaints: This PDF does not have headings This PDF does not have a title This PDF contains text with insufficient contrast The last item I can fix. A title can be added in Canvas. Of course, the document has all the ConTeXt headings, but apparently Canvas is not able to see them (nor the title). On the Canvas page it says about headings: • Sequential headings: Heading levels should not be skipped (e.g. H2 to H4). However, the tool does not check if the first header starts with H2 or whether the headings are sequential with the rest of the content in the page. Tables do not begin with H1, which is designated for the page title. Is there a way to make the headings visible in the PDF? index "entry not flushed" and {0}{0}{0} in bookmarks

Since one of the latest updates, I get a lot of “entry not flushed” entries in my indexes, and some PDF bookmarks start with “{0}{0}” (at least 2, up to 5). Besides rare unflushed entries I didn’t have that problem without changing anything in the headers or indexes. I don’t know where to start debugging. Hraban

Please advise on how to solve. The latest attempt to get ConTeXt up and running was by installing Tex Live network installation. Over the last month, https://lmtx.pragma-ade.com/install-lmtx/context-freebsd-amd64.zip has been downloaded and installed several times. Each effort ended with being unable to solve this problem. in all cases the file being processed is doc01.tex from https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Introduction/Installation#Check_the_installa… Using the current Tex Live installation, the command context --version yields mtx-context | ConTeXt Process Management 1.06 mtx-context | mtx-context | main context file: /zPoolData02/scratch3/TexLive/2025/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/mkiv/context.mkiv mtx-context | current version: 2025.10.27 22:10 mtx-context | main context file: /zPoolData02/scratch3/TexLive/2025/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/mkxl/context.mkxl mtx-context | current version: 2025.10.27 22:1 The operating system is FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE-p3 Thankyou

fake slanted broken in current (and previous) latest?

Hi Hans, fake slanted seems to be miscalculated in current latest (from 2025.10.29 22:31). Here you have a sample: \definefontfamily [mainface][rm][Latin Modern Sans] [sl={style:regular, features:slanted}] \setupbodyfont [mainface] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=1em] some word \\ \sl some word \stopTEXpage \stoptext LMTX has a change introduced with latest from 2025.10.27. LuaTeX has no problem slanting the font. Could you take a look at it? Many thanks for your help, Pablo?

Hi, I just did an upload. Apart from a few catches (like that arrow and some improvements in columnsets) the main additions are in the metafun department and performance. - We added some parpasses (like 'mathbook') and we can now set them up with the align options. The vectors used are defined as constants (engine speak) which makes the performance impact kind of neglectable. - Also some predefined penalty vectors (think widowpenalties) became constant (as it's unlikely or unwise to change them) which is more efficient as they otherwise get copied every paragraph. - When testing with Mikaels math book (290 pages in 7.4 sec on his chromebook) we'd set a new target at 7 and later 6 seconds and eventually could get that and ended up at 5.3 seconds once we noticed that there was an huge graphic involved (so now our target is 4 sec). Caching demanding mp graphics helped but was still good for > .5 seconds. As a consequence we added a new function variant (see luametafun, domain functions so that runtime went down from > .5 seconds to about .03 sec) and we also made sure that inclusion of cached mp pages was more performant (when 'compact' inclusion is enabled in the page streams get parsed). - When multiple lua driven rendering features are used (happens seldom) there can be a bit of a speedup too. If someone thinks that there is a botleneck somewhere .. make an example and tell us. (Of course bying a new fancy laptop would half my runtime anyway but occasionally one wants a challenge.) - There is now a ppchtex-mkiv manual but it's work in progress and it needs checking. One thing I observed is that as we now default to 'double' instead of 'scaled' some rounding / comparison cases differ so when in douuibt, check with: % \ctxlua{chemistry.method = "scaled"} We still need to check / add updated columnset manuals so that might be next on the agenda. I’m experiencing an issue with 32bit binaries for Windows (http://lmtx.pragma-ade.nl/install-lmtx/context-mswin.zip) I get from `luametatex --version` in Win32: This is LuaMetaTeX, Version 2.11.07 [...] Functionality : level 20250816 In Linux 64bit: This is LuaMetaTeX, Version 2.11.08 [...] Functionality : level 20251027 Where can I find the latest 32bit Windows binary? remove number in some sections

Hello, list. I need to remove the number from the header of some sections (2 and 5 in my example code, but in the compiled PDF they're removed from 3 and 6).
