start/end pages in ToC

Our journal is currently in the process of moving to continuous publication of items in a given volume as they are ready. This entails re-jigging the ToC so that it now includes the start and end page numbers of each item. So far, I have everything pretty much in the right place, but for the page numbers I am getting only “??”. I am not sure why this is happening and would be grateful if someone could tell me why or point me to documentation that explains the problem and how to solve it. Many thanks in advance. ConTeXt on RPI400

Dear list, I have the following sample: \startbuffer[demo] <code>mtxrun --script check file</code> \stopbuffer \startxmlsetups xml:initialize \xmlsetsetup{#1}{code}{xml:*} \stopxmlsetups \xmlregistersetup{xml:initialize} \startxmlsetups xml:code \xmlprettyprinttext{#1}{none} \xmlinlineprettyprinttext{#1}{none} \stopxmlsetups \definefontfamily[mainface][tt][TeX Gyre Cursor] [features={default}] \setupbodyfont[mainface] \starttext \xmlprocessbuffer{main}{demo}{} \stoptext Current LMTX (2024.03.11 09:34) is giving different results for double hyphens with \xmlprettyprinttext and \xmlinlineprettyprinttext. Since the output of \xmlinlineprettyprinttext is a wrong argument (in the sample), what am I missing here to get the right output with \xmlinlineprettyprinttext? Many thanks for your help, Pablo

Unknown units es and dk

I saw this in (the btw great) bachotex-stepbystep presentation \definepapersize [example] [width=8.5es, height=11es] \setuptextbackground [location=paragraph, backgroundcolor=MyColors:4, backgroundoffset=1dk, frame=off] The units "es" and "dk" are unknown to me. What does they mean? TIA juh

FreeBSD 13.2

Hello, I've been away from ConTeXt for some time but now I want to install it on my FreeBSD 13.2 system(s) (I have not switched any machines to 14.0 yet). After unpacking, running the install scripts results in: ld-elf.so.1: /home/rmason/Software/Context/bin/mtxrun: Undefined symbol "__libc_start1(a)FBSD_1.7" I assume this is because mtxrun is compiled for FreeBSD 14.0. Thus, I need (I think) to compile it for 13.2. Are there instructions somewhere on how to do this? If I get a working installation I'm happy to contribute the FreeBSD 13.2 binaries back to the project, if someone will tell me how. Thanks, Roger

Struggling with the distance and right margin text

Use of marking

HI folks, yesterday while reading along I learned how to suppress the chapter numbers in sections. That was something I was looking for myself. But how do you use marking correctly in startsection? I would like to see "1. Kapitel - 1. Aufgabe" in the header on the right. How can I automate this with marking? And how can I reduce the space between the number (1.) and the title (Kapitel or Aufgabe)? Thanks for your help Thomas

offset with \copypages

Hi, When inserting pages with \copypages, the included pages are slightly shifted to the left and to the bottom. Minimal example: % test-file.tex: \setuplayout[page] \starttext \input tufte \vfill \input tufte \stoptext % test.tex: \starttext \copypages[test-file.pdf] \stoptext How could I avoid this offset please? This issue has been driving me crazy, since it took me a while what was different here. Is there something I can do to get \xmlinlineprettyprinttext as \xmlprettyprinttext in this point? command line arguments

Following up on the other imposition question, I'm trying to make an example file that shows an imposition schema according to command line arguments. This way it works for the number of pages, as used in \dorecurse{\Pages}{…}, but not for the imposition schema. Typesetting \Schema looks right, but \setuparranging doesn’t work.
