Section numbering starting from zero, not one

Hello, I'd like to have roman numerals prefixed sections, but starting from Zero and not One (even if I know that roman numerals don't have a sign for 0). Is there a way to achieve this? My code looks like that at the moment: ### \setuphead[section][conversion=Romannumerals] \starttext \setupheadnumber[section] [-1] \startsection[title={Section zero}]\stopsection \startsection[title={Section one}]\stopsection \stoptext ### Thank you, Alex

Chapter number and titles in separate lines with grid layout

Hello again, I'm having another issue: I'd like Chapter/Section number and titles in separate lines but with grid alignement. I followed that advice: https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Titles#Chapter_number_and_titles_in_separate… I'm having an issue though: I can't get rid of the space above the (framed) title and align the section number with the first line (it's on the second line) Any idea? Bug in verbatim wrapping examples on wiki

On this page of the wiki there is an example for wrapping long words, like long hexadecimal strings: https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Wrapping This example is buggy because it deletes one character at the point that it is wrapped. In the example given, running context turns '257a410' into '257410'. The DNA example below it exhibits the same problem. Anyone have a solution?

custom hyphenator again

Hi Hans, with the sample hyphenator from https://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/languages-mkiv.pdf#page=23, next letters after hyphenation are missing. I already reported this (https://mailman.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2023/107743.html). Am I missing something or have I hit a bug? Many thanks for your help, Pablo

including documents with mediaclips in other documents

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupinteraction[state=start] \starttext \null\page \definerenderingwindow[myrenderingwindow] [width=\textwidth, height=\textwidth] \userendering[key-name][audio/mp3][audio.mp3] [embed=yes, auto] \placerenderingwindow[myrenderingwindow][key-name] \page \null\page \stoptext I want to include the second page in another document. \externalfigure[document.pdf][page=2, interaction=all] would be the right command, but it looses the media clip. A complete sample would be: \setupinteraction[state=start] \starttext \startlayout[page] \externalfigure[document.pdf][page=2, interaction=all] \stoplayout \stoptext Given this sample, is there any way to include the page (or the whole document) with the media clip and all its functionalty? Makeup and page numbering increment

Dear Context users, I'm new to this mailing-list. I've decided to use Context for two separate publications. My previous experience with Context was almost 10 years ago and it seems like the resources on Context have greatly expanded. So thank you all! There is a little thing that I can't figure out though... In one of my document I have makeup pages. But inserting them result in wrong page numbering of subsequent pages. It appears that makeups do not increment page numbers. Is this a feature? How could re-establish the right page number for the rest of the document? Thank you in advance, Alex

Sentence breaks for "English-style" (TeX default in English language) spacing regime

List: What method should one use to code whitespace after a period as being sentence-ending, not midsentence, when not employing French spacing? For example, if one writes "... John Doe, PhD. Next sentence x y z ... ." the space in "PhD. Next". In LaTeX, we have "\@. " (code whitespace following puctuation mark as sentence-separating length) and "\ " (code space as intrasentence length) to adjust the magical behavior of ASCII spaces. By experimentation I have found that "Prof.\ Smith" works as expected in ConTeXt but "PhD\@. Next sentence ..." is a nonexistent control code. Prof. Smith % heuristic thinks that the period ends a sentence --- wrong typesetting behavior Prof.\ Smith % coded as space after abbreviation not sentence-separating space --- correct typesetting behavior under English spacing regime versus: PhD\@. Problem with LMTX on macOS: no format file given, quitting

Hello list, I am writing to you about a problem with ConTeXt LMTX and TeXShop 5.11 on macOS 12.6.3 (MacBook Air M2). However, now when I run LMTX from editor to compose a source, the source is compiled with MkIV Standalone, which I have in another folder ( /Users/charlie/Documents/ConTeXt/ConTeXt-MkIV). LMTX doesn't even work from a terminal, of course. The curious thing is that even by launching the ConTeXt present in TeX Live, what really works is always MkIV Standalone. Problem using \scale

I'm printing address labels. Sometimes an address has a long line that is too long to fit on the label with the result that it wraps. Instead of wrapping, I thought it would be nice to try and auto-scale the label and shrink it so that the long line just fits. I'm using \crlf to break the address into lines and this doesn't play well with the \scale command, see MWE below, where the second frame is just one long line as the \crlf's seem to be ignored.
