TIL: figure combinations

You probably know about combinations to place images side by side: \startcombination[3*1] {\externalfigure[cow]}{cow} {\externalfigure[mill]}{mill} {\externalfigure[hacker]}{hacker} \stopcombination Now, the widths aren’t calculated automatically. You could define them on your own: \startcombination[3*1] {\externalfigure[cow] [width=.3\textwidth]}{cow} {\externalfigure[mill] [width=.3\textwidth]}{mill} {\externalfigure[hacker][width=.3\textwidth]}{hacker} \stopcombination But that’s ugly and tedious. Hans did it for you: \definemeasure[combination][ (\textwidth -\effectiveleftskip -\effectiverightskip -\numexpr\combinationparameter\nx-\plusone\relax\dimexpr\combinationparameter\distance\relax )/\combinationparameter] So you can say: \startcombination[3*1] {\externalfigure[cow] [width=\measure{combination}]}{cow} {\externalfigure[mill] [width=\measure{combination}]}{mill} {\externalfigure[hacker][width=\measure{combination}]}{hacker} \stopcombination But that’s still tedious. How to display these characters

Dear all, I have this: \starttext \starttyping foo └── bar ├── baz │ └── index.html └── index.html \stoptyping \stoptext The source code is generated with the linux command "tree". The special characters which indicate the folder depth are not displayed. I guess that I could define a fallbackfont. Do anyone know the unicode range that should be covered and the font that has these characters? TIA juh

MetaFun keywords extracted by mtxrun --script interface

I am updating Vim syntax coloring for Metapost/MetaFun, which is now based on the files that are automatically generated with mtxrun --script interface --vim To test the results, I am opening ConTeXt's own MetaPost files in the editor and check how they look. It seems that the output of the above command is missing several "keywords". For instance: beginglyph, endglyph, anglestriped, numberstriped, roundedsquarexy, starring, dashing, pathpoint, primitive, immutable, etc. Is it because MetaFun keywords are picked up manually? Hello, I want to get underbraces under matrices in a math alignment environment. math symbols

Hi, We're curious what math symbols users actually use. There are for instance all kind of variations on '<' and '>' and the quesiton is: how should we group them and are they used differently in different contexts. Traditionally tex sort of groups according to spacing related classes but we are (1) mor egranular than that and (2) like to organize symbols (and related commands) into meaning related groups. The fact that for instance mathml and openmath only groups a small selection is kind of puzzling because it means that only a handful is considered useful while on the other han dwe have plenty in unicode and fonts (of course multiple usage and overloads complicate matters).
