Question to footnote settings

Hi all, I am struggling with the width of a footnote number area. I would like to ask how can I set it dynamically based on the width of the largest number on a given page. Without width I get two different footnote texts widths (compare #9+10). With width there is a redundant space on the left (see p. 1). (Number alignment to the right is required.) How can I make a Gentoo Linux package for ConTeXt LMTX?

TexLive has texmfcnf.lua that doesn't really work with texlive-context installed by linux distributions. Arch Linux has its own patched version of texmfcnf.lua. It seems I'd be better off with a linux package for ConTeXt LMTX. How can I build and install ConTeXt LMTX on Gentoo Linux or any linux distribution? I wish it was as simple as ./configure, make, and make install.

Curling straight quotation marks

Hey folks, I re-wrote the algorithm KeenWrite uses for curling straight quotes. The new algorithm is fairly robust with respect to North American and British English. Could use help finding edge cases: https://whitemagicsoftware.com/keenquotes/ I use it for preprocessing documents prior to passing them to ConTeXt. Cheers!

Line up itemize list with answer block

Clipping multiple PDFs

Hello, I am trying to put multiple PDF’s that were typeset differently into one document without modifying the individual files themselves. I came up with this: \starttext \copypages[ass1.pdf][][scale=950] \copypages[ass2.pdf][][scale=950] … stoptext The problem is the original page numbers show and I’d prefer that it did not. So I thought maybe I could clip all the page numbers from every page (since they are all in the same position across all the pages) but I don’t know how to do this with the \clip command. Any ideas? I already tried using \input but it gives some weird output in some places. It doesn’t have to use this method as long as it does what I need it to do. Thanks in advance. Jethro

Thanks for the solution Pablo. It works well. I wanted to add more pdfs (which also has many pages) and found it was easier for me to reason in the lua side of things. My problem is now with context(context.noffigurepages). It doesn’t produce an integer so n is being compared to nil. Am I calling it wrong? All I want to do is call \noffigurepages from the lua side. ConTeXt Mark IV mtxrun: If selfautoloc is /usr/bin and selfautodir is /usr, selfautoparent becomes "." instead of "/".
