Convertnumber with \ref[number] fails in MkIV, works in LMTX

Hello list, The following fails with ConTeXt ver: 2021.10.24 21:45 MKIV but works with the companion LMTX. The error message is:tex error > tex error on line 6 in file G:/TestConTeXt/convert.tex: ! Incompatible glue units , pointing to the second \convertnumber line. \definelabel[XX]%[text=,before=,after=,alternative=inright] \startTEXpage[offset=2em] abc\XX[xx]\par \ref[number][xx] · \convertnumber{r}{1} · \convertnumber{R}{\ref[number][xx]} \stopTEXpage In this case I am trying to display with roman numerals the number generated in the label created through \definelabel. How to display the pages of a particular section in another PDF?

I can use this code to display page 5 from a PDF:\externalfigure[filename.pdf][page=5]I am making a teacher's guide for a workbook (workbook.pdf). I need to be able to display on the page all pages of a particular section. The teacher's guide uses the same section titles as the workbook, e.g.: 17-A: Title 17-B: Title In other words, there is 1:1 pairing of section titles in the teacher's guide and the workbook. Is there any way to tell ConTeXt to display all of the pages for a particular section? \externalfigure[filename.pdf][section=17A] --Joel

\externalfigure problem with displaying external images via https://live.contextgarden.net

Hello. A few years ago I created a PHP application for printing filled forms with PDF background. PHP application is generating ConTeXt source code, that is subsequently translated using the online application https://live.contextgarden.net. I have now discovered that the application is not functional because the https://live.contextgarden.net application is unable to retrieve the external PDF file from our organization's URL. Oddly, this source code at https://live.contextgarden.net does not generate a PDF file with the form in the background: \starttext \externalfigure[http://gyza.cz/iapp/opisvysv/498540_SS_16_predmetu_str1_PDF.pdf] % PDF FILE ON OUR ORGANIZATION (SCHOOL) HOSTING \stoptext This is despite the fact that the PDF file exists at the URL and the browser is able to display it. On the other side the source code: \starttext \externalfigure[http://hajtmar.cz/iapp/opisvysv/498540_SS_16_predmetu_str1_PDF.pdf] % PDF FILE ON MY PRIVAT HOSTING \stoptext or source code: \starttext \externalfigure[http://www.pragma-ade.nl/show-gra.pdf] % PDF FILE ON PRAGMA-ADE.NL WEB \stoptext without any problems will generate a correct PDF file. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Why online ConTeXt is not read my PDF file and on other side read another PDF file? What does onlineConText not like? issue with OT feature in LMTX

Dear list, I have the following sample (using current latest from 2022.12.01 13:05): \definefallbackfamily[mainface][rm][Noto Emoji] [range={0x1F004-0xFE837}, force=yes] \definefontfamily[mainface][rm][TeX Gyre Pagella] \setupbodyfont[mainface] \definestructureconversionset [sectionnumbers] [0,n,Characters,g,n] [n] \definefontfeature[section] [smcp=yes, c2sc=yes] \setupheads[sectionconversionset=sectionnumbers] \setuphead[section][style={\feature[+][section]}] \starttext \section{Just text} {\feature[+][section]Just text} \stoptext LMTX outputs no small caps and it fallbacks to Noto Emoji. LuaTeX gives the right output. Am I missing something or have I hit a bug in LMTX? Many thanks for your help, Pablo

accessing ital axis in variable font

Dear list, using the Literata variable fonts from https://github.com/googlefonts/literata/tree/main/fonts/variable, I have the following source: \definefontfeature[myaxis][axis={weight=500, italic=1}] \definefontfamily[mainface][rm][Literata][features={default, myaxis}] \setupbodyfont[mainface] \starttext \input zapf\par \it\input zapf \stoptext Other axes than weight (and only when not invoked as 'wght') don’t work for me (using latest from 2022.12.01 13:05). I have used the following source (it seems to be a goodie from current latest): \usemodule[fonts-variable] \starttext \showfontvariations[font=file:literata-italic.ttf] \showfontvariations[font=file:literata.ttf] \stoptext It reports that the Literata fonts have three (design) axes: wght, opsz and ital. ital is only a design axis. As explained before, they don’t work for me. How can I access to the italic and the optical size axes? Many thanks for your help, Pablo

Can I use \starthangaround?

\starthangaround is mentioned in these context garden wiki pages: https://wiki.contextgarden.net/CD_Booklet https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Unexpected_behavior When I try to use examples from these pages I get an error that \starthangaround is undefined. It isn’t in any of my context installation files, including cont-new.tex. I'm using LMTX, installed a few days ago. Is it possible for me to use \starthangaround ? Peter Hopcroft
