LMTX: different output if dots are used in the file name

Hi! LMTX and MkIV behave differently if dots are used in the file name. Example: printf '%s\n' '\starttext\null\stoptext' > foo.10.tex && context foo.10.tex MkIV: → foo.10.pdf LMTX: → foo.pdf Is this intentional? This is LuaMetaTeX, Version 2.06.05 current version: 2020.05.25 23:39 Marco

Hyphenation again

Hi, another weird thing: In this example I use \startexceptions to set hyphenation exceptions: ``` \mainlanguage[en] \startexceptions[en] appli-cable obli-gated \stopexceptions \setuplayout[width=1cm] \starttext \currentmainlanguage \currentlanguage \hyphenatedword{applicable} applicable \hyphenatedword{obligated} obligated \stoptext ``` What am I missing? Hyphenation patterns

Hi, where can I find the hyphenation patterns used by ConTeXt? I have two wrongly hyphenated words, and I want to check whether this is due to incorrect patterns. (I tried the source browser... not much luck so far.) The words are: 1. applicable => hyphenated as applic-able 2. obligated => hyphenated as oblig-ated I know I can use \hyphenation to correct that, but I wanted to check the patterns nevertheless. "Scheduled" downtime of the contextgarden server

Dear ConTeXters, There will be a "scheduled" downtime of the contextgarden.net server for maintenance reasons (the part that's hosted in Slovenia; that excludes wiki & modules, but includes the old distribution, buildbot CI, CTAN, TL pretest & w32tex mirror, ...) in one of the following days. It's not yet clear when exactly the downtime will happen (and all the lockdowns etc. make that even harder to predict) and I'm also not entirely sure how long it will take, this is just to give you a notice upfront. Mojca (PS: I hope that TL 21 won't need any further builds, else we can postpone this.)

Hi, I uploaded a new version. However, because of some new feature there can be (unwanted) side effects wrt hyphenation (should not be but who knows). As a follow up on Denis mails about ligature prevention, we now have a mechanism called language 'goodies' analogue to 'font goodies'. For practical reasons this permits (high performance) plugs into the mechanism that also deals with hyphenation. Basically we can have some feedback loop but more about that later (Denis, Wolfgang and I need to play with all this and settle on the interface). Although all can be done in pure lua (and i might add that at some point) this particular mechanism plugs into the hyphenator so that we get no real performance hit (I can proabbly improve it if really needed but let's first see if users complain.) Here is an exmaple (to be default or not?) \setuplanguage [de] [goodies={lang-de.llg}] that has to come before a lkanguage gets activated (for now). In addition to exceptions one can do \startlanguageoptions[de] Zapf|innovation \stoplanguageoptions to prevent a ligature between f and i and \startlanguageoptions[de] Zapf=innovation \stoplanguageoptions to make it into a compound word (use both to prevent ligatures too). There's more to come once we get the full picture. I leave it to Denis to organize the collection of words and definitions that go into a goodie file. Hans ps. Sometimes I wonder if for every new feature added we should drop an old maybe useless one, like some of the obsolete pdf stuff or features that seem to be persistently broken or weird or unpredictable in viewers. Combine purgeall and result options

Output result to specified file path

How do you set the target output path and file name? Consider: % SOF \starttext Hello \stoptext % EOF Save as $HOME/test.tex and then: mkdir /tmp/subdir context --result=/tmp/subdir/test.pdf $HOME/test.tex Expected: PDF file is created in /tmp/subdir directory. Nested structure of files loaded by input

Hi, I have file main.tex that loads various subfiles that are placed in a subdir : \starttext \input subdir/chapter1 \stoptext Chapter1.tex itself loads some other files that are also placed in the subdir directory : \starttext \input subfile1 \stoptext Subfile1 : \starttext Asdf \stopttext Now, when in the subdir `context chapter1` and `context subfile1` both work. But in the main directory this here fails : context main -> < input file 'subfile1' is not found, quitting' What am I missing ? Does \input resolve filenames according to the CWD, not to the location itself is located ? How can I make that work? Best, Denis

Issue with \handletokens\with and Lua-defined macros

However, the use of \expandafter's is cumbersome in this case. I don't want to loop over the result in Lua because I want to be able to apply \handletokens...\with...
