problem with a new installation of LMTX

I read some reports about the problems of a new installation of LMTX. Today, I did fresh install and also have a problem in compilation. I did the following: 0. Open the terminal 1. Remove all files in the folder “ConTeXtLMTX” 2. Download install files from PRAGMA ADE. 3. run “install.sh”(at first, it won’t run because of the MacOS Catalina. I have to allow the running in the preference.) 4. it installs the folder “tex” and some files but context-cache is empty. And, it couldn’t compile test.tex I copied the log during the installation for checking. Thank you. Dear Hans and Otared, Thank you again for your attempt to find a solution. Catalina(MacOS 10.15.1) prohibits an unauthorized program run. So I have to allow the execution of “mtxrun” manually in the preference. Since "mtxrun —generate” ends with the message “unknown script mtxrun-context.lua or mtx-mtxrun-context.lua”, I tried to locate it in the finder. There is one in a folder installed by MacTeX(TeXLive), but not in “ConTeXtLMTX”. As you said, many files are not copied during the installation. I’ll try to understand what is going on, but it would be very hard to find a solution by myself. I have to use old ConTeXt for a while. Thank you again. Best regards, Dalyoung

Hello Hans, Yes, the Linux install fails as well. I have just tried another. The output of context --make is attached. For test, I installed again after removing ConTeXtLMTX folder. But it is same as before. I looked files in “/tex/texmf-osx-64/bin”. There are 5 files: context, context.lua, luametatex, mtxrun, mtxrun.lua. context and mtxrun are symbolic linked to luametatex. But luametatex is not executable, so I changed it using “chmod 755 luametatex”. I run “mtxrun —generate”, then it set variables as follows: % mtxrun --generate resolvers | resolving | variable 'SELFAUTOLOC' set to '/usr/local/texlive/2019/bin/x86_64-darwin' resolvers | resolving | variable 'SELFAUTODIR' set to '/usr/local/texlive/2019/bin' resolvers | resolving | variable 'SELFAUTOPARENT' set to '/usr/local/texlive/2019' resolvers | resolving | variable 'TEXMFCNF' set to '' resolvers | resolving | variable 'TEXMF' set to '' resolvers | resolving | variable 'TEXOS' set to 'bin' resolvers | resolving | ……. and do many things in the texlive/2019 folders. I think this is handy, since they are useful in presentations. In fact, I need one flag (in the second line form the sample) for one presentation. Everything worked fine. This morning I updated ConTeXt at work (with Win7) and modes with non-ASCII chars aren’t recognized. Could anyone confirm the issue I’m describing in Windows? Hi, The latest lmtx has a new feature: expansion control independent of font specific settings. When used the font specific step stretch and shrink will be overloaded. This permits mixed setups that are normally nor possible because these three properties need to be consistent within a paragraph. Filling a page with \thinrules

Hi all, I am preparing a test for my students where I would like to have the statement of the problem on the top of a page and the remainder to the bottom of that page filled with \thinrules, for them to write the solution. And sometimes there might be an empty page filled with thinrules when the solution to the exercise is longer. The following minimal example gives the idea of what I want to achieve, but since the statement of each exercise may be longer or shorter, I would like ConTeXt to compute how many \thinrules can be put in the remainder of the page. That is, can one imagine a macro named (say) \fillpagewiththinrules which puts the exact number of thinrules before ejecting the page? The appearance dictionary doesn't contain an entry. File specification 'testa.pdf' not associated with an object. The document does not conform to the requested standard. The document doesn't conform to the PDF reference (missing required entries, wrong value types, etc.). The document contains hidden, invisible, non-viewable or non-printable annotations. The document contains annotations or form fields with ambigous or without appropriate appearances. The document does not conform to the PDF/A-3a standard. Done. My understanding is that 3-a should support both pdf and non-pdf attachments. This fails in a similar manner with both pdf/a-3a-validated files and with plain text files. I also tested with verapdf, and it also rejected the document with an attachment. Is this my error, or is it not yet supported? -- Rik Kabel

Hans, \setupinteraction [state=start] \enabledirectives[references.border=red] \starttext \startxtable[option=stretch, frame=off] \startxrow \startxcell\goto{\hyphenatedurl{a}}[url(a)]\\ b\stopxcell \stopxrow \stopxtable \stoptext When compiled with LMTX, the link has a /Rect as wide as the cell.
