space between headings

Dear list, I have the following sample: \showframe\showgrid \starttext \section{Section} \subsection{Subsection} A sentence. \section{Section} Another sentence. \subsection{Subsection} Even another sentence. \stoptext Is there any way to setup the space after of \section when it is followed by another heading? (bug?) no destinations for footnote links in LMTX

Hi Hans, I have the following sample: \setupinteraction[state=start, focus=standard] \starttext a\footnote{b} \stoptext I’m afraid that LMTX doesn’t generate a link to go back from footnote. All I can see is that MkIV generates two named destinations: << /D [ 5 0 R /XYZ 61.65861 129.0214 null ] >> << /D [ 5 0 R /XYZ 76.72182 722.72927 null ] >> But I’m afraid that LMTX generates only one: << /D [ 5 0 R /XYZ 61.65861 129.0214 null ] >> Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

new beta

Hi, I uploaded a new beta. Some might have noticed that stepwise some font support has been redone. We're talking of lmtx only here. For instance low level handling of color fonts as used for emoji but there are also other (often incomplete) fonts out there (overlay, png, svg) has become (on the average) a bit more efficient. It's somewhat tricky to satisfy viewers but at my end things work ok. It should also work in a cmyk only mode. As usual it's work in progress (and in this case very likely lmtx only). Also some first (runtime) metafun (2) font creation support has been added (was always possible but it's a bit more convenient now). An example can be found in: meta-imp-gamesymbols.mkxl (the file can be processed with the 'context' command and will produce an example). As usual imagination determines the limits of what context provides, so feel free to suggest more (examples). Again this is lmtx specific. Documentation of change / Evolving documents

Hi, I often have documents that are not finished but need to change over time. A client changes their mind, laws are changed, … While working with the document, I want to see the changes. When the document is finally finished, I only want to see the change history. I came up with the following. When the mode is „change“ the date (or version) is shown in the margin and the change is printed in red. Without mode „change“ only the change history is printed. What I want now is to change the layout of the register. Adding some vspace around the date and printing the date in bold. Is there a way to achieve this or am I on the wrong way? howto create labels with multiple lines ?

List, In the metafun-p document, there is the example creating a clock with labels placed at the dots. pair destination ; for whereto = 0 step 30 until 330 : destination := dir(whereto) * 1.5cm ; freedotlabel(decimal whereto, destination, origin) ; drawarrow origin -- destination withpen pencircle scaled .25mm withcolor .625 red ; endfor ; I cannot find any example as how to have a label with multiple lines. like: . one two two . three four Can someone point me to an example as how to do that? \startitemize + "joinedup" ("nowhite") not working in footnotes?

Hello, in the following sample there is unwanted vertical gap between text "Foo" and the first item "- bar" in the footnote 1 (and also between "Bar" and "- bar") - see red arrows. The same code used outside the footnote behaves as expected - there is no vertical space. Is there anything special about handling itemization inside footnotes? Problem inserting image within MP

Isolated expression. <to be read again> ; <*> externalfigure "hacker.png"; ; I couldn't find an `=' or `:=' after the expression that is shown above this error message, so I guess I'll just ignore it and carry on. " I just want to insert a picture from within MP code. What am I doing wrong? Best regards, Lukas

I did the following steps: mkdir context && cd context rsync -ptv rsync://contextgarden.net/standalone/setup/first-setup.sh . ./first-setup.sh Then I changed the line 4049 of bin/mtxrun to local platform="openbsd6.5-amd64" but I obviously did not understand what to do next: calling env PATH="$PWD/bin:$CONTEXTROOT/texmf-$platform/bin:$PATH" MTX_PLATFORM="$platform" \ ./bin/mtxrun --script ./bin/mtx-update.lua --force --update --make --engine=luatex --platform="$platform" --texroot="$CONTEXTROOT" $@ ends quite quickly, with this output mtx-update | available platforms: freebsd freebsd-amd64 linux linux-64 linux-armhf linuxmusl-64 mswin openbsd6.5 openbsd6.5-amd64 osx-64 solaris-intel solaris-sparc win64 resolvers | tds | no 'texmf-openbsd6.5-6.4' under tree '/home/<name>/context/' which is the same output as ./first-setup.sh before the change. issue with footnote in LMTX

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupinteraction[state=start, focus=standard] \starttext a\footnote{b} \stoptext Using latest beta from MkXL (2019.10.05 14:56), link form footnote to main text body doesn’t work. Latest beta from MkIV (2019.10.05 14:45) has no issue and the footnote link works perfectly fine. Could anyone confirm this issue with links in footnotes for LMTX? passing variables/data between context and lua

Hi, I am trying to pass variables/data between context and lua. Lua would be used for calculations on data coming from context. Unfortunately I can't figure out what to do. The code below doesn't work, but is there to illustrate my idea. Any help would be much appreciated.
