embolden a font

Is there anywhere an option to get an embolden effect as with the following pdf literal? I have no idea how to transpose the following latex example to context. Also in my opinion the input is wrong, it should be written as \mathtestbase{fb}^{-1} (and this works fine). So I'm only posting this for the case that it indicates some hidden problem in the fontloader. The error I get from the document below is ! error: (nodes): attempt to double-free math_char node 100300, ignored ! ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! The fonts used are [latinmodern-math.otf]:mode=base;script=math;language=DFLT; and STIXTwoText:mode=base;script=latn;language=DFLT; Imho the relevant points to trigger the error are - a math alphabet which uses mode=base - a ligature in this font (fb here) - a following math symbol directly behind the ligature (\int would give an error too). \documentclass{article} \usepackage{unicode-math} \setmathfontface\mathtestbase{STIX Two Text}[Renderer=Basic] \begin{document} $\mathtestbase{fb^{-1}}$ \end{document} -- Ulrike Fischer http://www.troubleshooting-tex.de/

Feature request: \digits command

Hi everyone, The \digits command is really great when it comes to typeset numbers in different languages. However, I miss one functionality from the numprint package in latex: when you type for example $e-5$, you get 10^{-5} (with no dot in front of it). Would it be possible to add an option to \digits to reproduce this? Best wishes, Morgan

Second level itemization and continue

Is it possible to use the continue option for second level itemizations? I am unable to make it work. trying out "plug mode" and the harfbuzz plugin

I read the guitex article about ffi and luatex and wanted to try if I could run tests with harfbuzz and the plug-mode. Looking in the newest context I found in onandon-ffi.tex a reference to the module fonts-plugins. But this module loads a lua file which isn't in context: \registerctxluafile{font-phb}{} % harfbuzz plugin Is this an oversight or is the code not meant to be used? Horizontal line after text in an environment

Hello, In this environment, when the text has sufficient height, the horizontal line is well below the figure. However when the height of text is not sufficient, the position of the line is not correct and I would like it also below the figure. Size of fences, factor key

Dear Hans and others, I'm usually use the \big, \Big, \bigg etc to get the size of parentheses, brackets and braces to be the size I want. I realize that the fences machinery is probably a cleaner way of doing this. I tried it a bit, and it usually gives the result I like. But sometimes not, and it seems that the way to change the size of the parentheses/brackets/braces is to use the factor key. 1) Are the different options none, auto NUMBER explained somehere? 2) Could one have, for exceptional cases where the default is not satisfactory, a keyword like factor=big for example, to get the same size as if one would have used \big? I am a bit confused. See the example below, with output (from latest standalone) attached. /Mikael PS: I would suggest to have italic = { feature = 'ss01', value = 1, comment = "Mathematical Alternative Lowercase Italic" }, set in lucida-opentype-math.lfg. path for luatex cache

Hi, What should I do please, to prevent ConTeXt from creating $HOME/luatex-cache? I tried: - TEXMFCACHE=/opt/context/tex/texmf-cache - TEXMFVAR=/opt/context/tex/texmf-cache - LUATEX_CACHE=/opt/context/tex/texmf-cache/luatex-cache but without success... TIA for any help, -- Peter

The \doiffile macros recognize the existence of a file but, unless I am mistaken, not the existence of a directory. Is there another macro, whose existence I have nof found yet, that offers this capability? Or should this be a slight encouragement to expand the implementation in that direction? dr. Question to sectioning

Hello, I have got a document with e.g. six chapters, numbers are from 1 to 6. At special places I would like put a special page containing a special title. The special page should be without a header and without any number, the title should be put into the contents by the same way as other chapters.. I came across two problems: First, in the minimal example below I get chapter numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and if I use incrementnumber=no, the "specialpage" is not stored in the contents. Secondly, I do know how to switch off the header only at this special page. I also tried \definehead[specialpage][title] but in this case the "specialpage" is not stored in the contents, too. What I am doing wrong?
