Hello, With Latex, for my layout, I used this : \documentclass[a4paper,11pt]{article} \usepackage[left=2cm,right=2cm,top=2cm,bottom=2cm]{geometry} With Context, I did this : \setuppapersize[A4][A4] \setuplayout [ topspace=2cm, header=0pt, footer=1.5cm, bottomspace=0pt, backspace=2cm, cutspace=0pt, width=middle] Is it correct ? (bug?) itlc removes liga

With EB Garamond, italics don’t get the “ffl” ligature. The previous beta from 2017.07.27 16:17 doesn’t have the issue that I describe. Could anyone be so kind to confirm the bug with latest beta? width of floats

Ahoi, I wonder how I can limit the width of a custom float, neither "width" nor "maxwidth" seems to have any effect: \definefloat[Beispiel][Beispiele] \setupfloat[Beispiel][ %width=36mm, maxwidth=.6\textwidth, offset=1em, background=color,backgroundcolor=yellow, ] \setupcaption[Beispiel][ location=none,number=no ] \starttext \input knuth \startplaceBeispiel \input tufte \stopplaceBeispiel \input knuth \stoptext While it’s nice that the "Beispiel" paragraphs stays the same width as the main text, even with "offset", I’d like to limit the whole box to the textwidth (or any other measure). Extensible arrows in ConTeXT

Dear list, I want to typeset an extensible arrow as described in this document: http://dl.contextgarden.net/myway/matharrows.pdf <http://dl.contextgarden.net/myway/matharrows.pdf> Sadly I get errors if I use \xrightarrow (even this simple command does not work). Do extensible arrows still exists in ConTeXT and how can I use them? Best Mathias

inline code in XML

Hans, many thanks for having added \xmlprettyprinttext to ConTeXt. I have now another problem with inline code: \definetype[TeX][option=TEX, lines=hyphenated] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=1em] This is inline code: \TeX{\command[option=value]{final text}} \startXML Inline code: <code class="sourceCode latex">\TeX[option=value]{final text}</code> \stopXML \stopTEXpage \stoptext I need the \TeX command from the first text paragraph, but I have to make it work with an XML source such as the second one (the code element). Would it be possible to have something like \xmlprettyinlinetext (it is essential to have consistent marking in code blocks and in inline code? I have tried to find out a solution, but \typebuffer requires a separate paragraph (or I didn’t know how to disable it). Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

letters in context mkiv

Dear Contex’ers, I have used the letter module of mkii for serial letters with an xml database (see example), but now I would like to step forward to mkiv. I have found out how to process the xml data from an xml file (now in the buffer). The recipient’s address neatly shows up in the designed place. (See pdf). So far, everything seems OK. Yet when I add text, only the text appears, and all address data from the xml file disappear. You can try it out by uncommenting the %\input knuth or %tekst lines. Actually SumatraPDF works pretty fine with the setting your proposed (see attached screens). Thanks. Odd numbering of

Hi folks, I have a document that is structured like this: \startfrontmatter \placecontent \stopfrontmatter \startbodymatter \startchapter \component whatever.tex \stopchapter \stopbodymatter What I noticed is, that when I build the PDF, open it in Sumatra PDF and check the page counter at the top, then the first page (frontmatter) is numbered 1, then the second page (1st page of the bodymatter) is numbered 1.1, the second page of the bodymatter then is numbered correctly again. How would one change the frontmatter counter to roman numbers (I, II, III etc.)? And the first page of the bodymatter to 1 instead of 1.1? For the record: within the PDF itself the numbers are printed correctly (front: no numbers, body: 1, 2, 3 etc.). This seems to be reader software related. I saw romans for frontmatter and arabics for bodymatter in other documents already, so I am sure there has to be a way of achieving this in CTX. Any ideas? Greetings, Sebastian

> Which is your OS? How about checking them with Acrobat Reader? I am working under OpenBSD and context TeXLive 2017 pre-release. Acrobat Reader is not avalaible. Btw, I had the same issue as you under Linux : Evince could'nt display slides with Steps macros, while mupdf displays content without steps. The new mkiv Rawsteps nearly works for me with mupdf : both steps are displayed on the same slide, which is not what is intended, but at least contents are duplicated. If steps are only working with AcroRead, this means that steps may rather rely on a workaround and it might be considered a kind of bug. Unfortunately my programming skills are none, so I migt be exagerating. Anyway it would be really great to have something working with poppler and mupdf engines. Could the \pause macro from beamer be a starting point or is this too LaTeX dependant?
