Module for Markdown: any volunteer to make a ConTeXt interface?

Hi, There's a really nice module for processing markdown: https://github.com/Witiko/markdown that has been presented during the TUG meeting and is included in TeX Live. It theoretically works for ConTeXt (the output is perfectly usable), but it needs a cleanup of the user interface to turn the options on and off. For example, it would be nice to use something like \setupmarkdown [fencedCode=true] rather than \def\markdownOptionFencedCode{true} Is anyone willing to look into the code and help the author fix the interface? (I can add it to our distribution if needed.) Mojca

Modern CV like cover letter example

Missing Chapter Numbers

\setuphead[chapter][number=yes,] \setuphead[section][number=no,] \setuphead[subsection][placehead=hidden,] \definehead[scenesubsection][subsection] \starttext \dorecurse{5}{ \chapter{Chapter Name} \section{Section Name} \startscenesubsection \input tufte \stopscenesubsection } \stoptext The chapter headings should be enumerated 1 through 5, but some chapter numbers are either hidden or enumerated incorrectly. Using "placehead=no" causes the spacing to change when framing an entire section. Expandable \doifelse tests

Dear list, Motivated by this question on TeX.SX https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/370868 I was fiddling around with the \doifelse conditionals. I noticed that most of them are not expandable, which makes it very difficult to concatenate them. Here a simple example \starttext \doifelse{a}{% \doifelse{x}{x}{a}{b}% <- evaluates to "a" but not expandable }{yes}{no} \stoptext This outputs "no" even though "a" is equal to "a". Would it be possible to substitute these conditionals by expandable ones? I would volunteer to help make them expandable. Cheers, Henri

Footnote in TABLE isn't rendered anywhere

Hello, in the current ConTeXt Minimals (ver: 2017.06.30 19:45 MKIV beta fmt: 2017.7.3) the following example doesn't show any footnotes: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \starttext \bTABLE[split=repeat,align=normal] \bTR\bTD Something\footnote[x]{bla bla}\eTD\eTR \bTR\bTD Foo\note[x] \eTD\eTR \eTABLE \stoptext ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That second note reference (\note[x]) even causes a warning: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ references > unknown reference '[][x]' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Local footnotes work in this case, but I prefer global ones.) BUG: Colour spilling in btxrendering

Dear list, I reported this already some time ago but apparently it went unnoticed. https://mailman.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2016/086227.html When you place hyperlinks in the bibliography the colour »spills over«, see MWE below. The link is only on the string `Phys. Rev. 140 A1133–A1138 (1965)` but the whole line is coloured. Ahoi again, I’m preparing some ConTeXt docs with a lot of examples and would like to reproduce what we have in the wiki as <context source="yes"> ... </context> i.e. sourcecode beside the result. Often the shown source is exactly what I want to show, in other cases I need some additional setup that I don’t want to show. Which approach would you suggest? Combinations? Dear Hans, I am also intersted in this issue. In the last years I am dealing with a multi-language technical lexicon. Hence, different languages refer to different columns, and if the languages are three or four, then it is better to go with two pages side-by-side. Nevertheless this seems a problem also in LaTeX redelpar (multiple columns are not supported). I tried to manage it with \linetable but without success (https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/380923/synchronise-data-spanning-ov…) I think this feature could be really interesting because, according to my knowledge, ConTeXt is at present the best way to manage the publishing of XML data. imposition with some rotated pages

Dear list, I have a PDF document in A4 paper size with some rotated pages. I would like to make a booklet of it: \setuppapersize [A5][A4, landscape] \setuparranging [2UP] \setuplayout [backspace=0pt, topspace=0pt, width=middle, height=middle, location=middle, header=0pt, footer=0pt] \setupinteractionscreen[option={landscape, paper}, copies=1] \starttext \filterpages[report.pdf][1:25][width=0pt] \filterpages[report.pdf][27:30][width=0pt]%they are rotated \filterpages[report.pdf][31:100][width=0pt] \stoptext The rotated pages in the source PDF document are a problem here. The wiki contains the info that \filterpages may be rotated with [orientation=90]. But this seems to be old, since it doesn’t work. If I add \rotate[rotation=90]{\filterpages[report.pdf][27:30][width=0pt]}, automatic scaling doesn’t work. And all pages will be considered as a single image. Is there any way to have rotation for some pages in the source document to get the right imposition? I’m afraid rotation comes from the source PDF document in this case. (again) \typebufferinline for XML inline code

Hans, sorry for asking for this again, but I really need it to write some documents about ConTeXt. I have the following sample: \startTEXpage[offset=1em] only \type{a b c} one line \stopTEXpage \stoptext \type Would it be possible to have a new \typebufferinline that behaves such as \type above (and has the same options in \setuptype)? The most important part isn’t the suppression of line breaks inside, but avoiding the addition of line breaks after and before the typed buffer. I have been reading buff-ver.mkiv, but I’m afraid I cannot contribute such a patch. This is essential to have \xmlprettyprintinline and \xmlprettyprintinlinetext in order to handle inline code in XML. Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk
