Problem with \blackboard{} command

Hi together, I've experienced a problem with \blackboard{} command. Please paste the following code and compile it (I have newest CTX beta version (updating daily)): ------------------------------------------------------------ \starttext Variation 1: $\forall n \in \blackboard{Z} \neq 0$: should be $0$ Variation 2: $\forall n \in \integers \neq 0$: is $0$ \stoptext ------------------------------------------------------------ When the first variation is used, CTX seems to convert every folowing letter into blackboard characters within the rest of the math environment no matter where \blackboard brackets are placed. Only when the second variation with \integers is used, CTX propely converts every following letter. But imagine you need blackboard G for some reason for example. Then the same bug will appear. It seems that my messages are not appropriately getting onto the list? Have you been to busy to forward them to the list? Question now is "how to stop "repeat" in enumerations that give item numbers such as 1 1.1 1.1.1 .... but at a certain depth I just want a simple alpha, such a a. b. c . Hot to do?

writebetweenlist bug?

Hello list, I'm experimenting with the table of contents and I found a strange behaviour of writebetweenlist. Try this: \setuphead[chapter][number=no] \starttext \placecontent \chapter{chapter 1} \chapter{chapter 2} \writebetweenlist[chapter]{\blank Why am I not between chapter 2 and chapter 3?} \chapter{chapter 3} \chapter{chapter 4} \stoptext I exptected the text of \writebetweenlist to fall between chapters 2 and 3, but it falls between chapters 1 and 2. transparent colors

With \definecolor[colorname][r=,g=,b=] one defines a color of name "colorname" for use in ConTeXt and in Metapost. A transparentcolor comes with \definecolor[transparentcolorname][r=,g=,b=,a=,t=] Problem: how to define a transparent color with \definetransparentcolor[#1][#2][#3]{...}. To be called for example as \definetransparentcolor[transparentcolorname][colorname][0.5] for color "colorname" with transparency 0.5. I tried to do this by intercepting from \definecolor the vales "r=,g=,b=" in a macro \colornamergb to be called as \csname..\endcsname for the varying colorname and feeding that to a definecolor-variant. However, the parsing of r=,g=,b= then goes wrong (\futurelet balking). Question: is there a direct way to derive a transparent colorvariant from a parent one without transparency? The usefulness of this comes from the fact that for things like \definecolor[lighthoneydew][r=.894117,g=.95,b=.894117] the numbers need not be feed more than once. Hans van der Meer

command reference not searchable

The command reference in file i-context.pdf is highly useful, but that document is not searchable, neither with Preview nor Adobe Reader. Files luatex.pdf, xml-mkiv.pdf for example are searchable. It would be nice if the command reference can be searched too, because for now looking up a command needs a lot of page skipping. Can this be done? I would very much appreciate it. Hans van der Meer

It will be convenient for TeX Live users if i-context.pdf is copied like $TEXMF/doc/context/documents/general/commands/i-context.pdf Then one can read it by texdoc i-context.pdf Best, Akira

uppercase, small caps, numerals and German capital sharp s

Hello, I'm new to ConTeXt and this list. After a long time of using LaTeX and xeLaTeX I was finally lured into trying ConTexT by its ability of grid typesetting. Today's problem is a bit complex. In a book project I have several points where stuff is capitalized or turned into caps+smallcaps or pure smallcaps. My guess is that that should work either with \WORD{Stuff}, \Cap{Stuff} and \cap{Stuff} or with \uppercase, \sc, and {\sc\lowercase{Stuff}}. (Not quite, it seems) I'll use a commercial font called Calluna, but have added Linux Biolinum O to the example for those who don't want to download Calluna (the "Regular" can be "bought" for free, e.g. at https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/exljbris/calluna) Both Calluna and Biolinum contain the glyph "LATIN CAPITAL LETTER SHARP S" at "1E9E. Calluna also has a small caps version at "F727", while Biolinum has it at "E092. I'd like to use these glyphs in the capitalizations mentioned, but that only works erratically (cf. example). Secondly, Calluna comes with oldstyle numerals switched on, which is nice for normal text, but should change to proportional lining numbers in uppercase and to small-cap proportional lining numbers in an all-small-cap text. I'm not sure what I'd want in a caps+smallcaps context, but certainly not oldstyle numerals with their descenders. Any hints and ideas?
